*Reformer Class at 8am on SaturdaynI booked a Reformer class a week in advance. When I arrived 3 minutes late because there’s no parking around and I spent 10 minutes looking for a spot, I got my tag to attend the class. After me, another girl also got her tag. When we entered the studio, the instructor said there was only one spot left and asked us to decide who would attend — because they had already given a place to someone who just showed up without a booking.nnI couldn’t attend the class because the girl who arrived after me got the spot. Their management and communication are terrible. If I arrived before her and there were no spots left, why did the receptionist give tags for both of us? They are doing a really poor job.

Great facilities, but a disappointing experience with personal training and very little support from Les Mills Newmarket. I trained regularly with a PT who asked for autopayments and assured me I would be reimbursed for any missed sessions. He often cancelled last minute, saying he was sick, and eventually left the gym without any notice. I was left $1,000 out of pocket. When I contacted the gym, they said it was out of their hands. The trainer, Jayden Lilley, also stopped replying and told me to move on. There was no accountability.

It used to be manageable. Sure, parking was never amazing, but now? Between 5:45 and 7am, it’s absolute chaos. Like, full-blown “abandon hope” territory. I waited 35min… not a single spot available!nnFor the price of membership, you’d think they were offering at least the illusion of somewhere to leave your car. But nope — like most Les Mills in Auckland, parking has become a tragic joke. Except no one’s laughing, because we’re all too busy doing laps around the block and praying someone finishes their cooldown and vacates a spot.nnThe gym itself? Awesome. The parking? A cardio session in frustration. Honestly, it’s gotten so bad I’ve considered cancelling my membership just to get my mornings back.
