Les Mills Newmarket

Great facilities, but a disappointing experience with personal training and very little support from Les Mills Newmarket. I trained regularly with a PT who asked for autopayments and assured me I would be reimbursed for any missed sessions. He often cancelled last minute, saying he was sick, and eventually left the gym without any notice. I was left $1,000 out of pocket. When I contacted the gym, they said it was out of their hands. The trainer, Jayden Lilley, also stopped replying and told me to move on. There was no accountability.

It used to be manageable. Sure, parking was never amazing, but now? Between 5:45 and 7am, it’s absolute chaos. Like, full-blown “abandon hope” territory. I waited 35min… not a single spot available!nnFor the price of membership, you’d think they were offering at least the illusion of somewhere to leave your car. But nope — like most Les Mills in Auckland, parking has become a tragic joke. Except no one’s laughing, because we’re all too busy doing laps around the block and praying someone finishes their cooldown and vacates a spot.nnThe gym itself? Awesome. The parking? A cardio session in frustration. Honestly, it’s gotten so bad I’ve considered cancelling my membership just to get my mornings back.

Les Mills is truly world class. I absolutely love the spin classes and the gyms are always clean and tidy. Worth every dollar. Would definitely recommend.

Great gym, however on multiple occasions I have noticed gym staff with clients PT’s taking up multiple machines at once for 30+ mins during peak times, this is terrible gym etiquette especially from staff.
