CityFitness Newmarket

The gym has really good location being right above the Westfield mall and train station. We'll equipment with both lower and upper exercise machines. Gyms aesthetics are very bland nothing makes it stand out except the view of the city, bathrooms also starting to look quite dated still work alright.nBest check when it gets busy as everything can get filled up during peak times.

Great vibe, but always busy. The location is very convenient. My only concern is personal hygiene in the summer. Some equipments show wear and tear already.

This is my most favorite city fitness in Auckland. There are a lot of machines that I've never even seen in my life , it also has a really nice view from the windows. It's quite a big space. They have really nice showers abs a big changing room as well. I would love to go back there again, the only down side is the parking I guess, as I think you need to pay for parking around that area.

As much as I enjoy coming to this branch, there's just no control on the traffic of people joining in. Limited use of the equipment due to high volume of people any time of the day. I would also suggest to have an automated announcement thru the speakersin terms of hygiene, as a lot of members disregard applying deodorant and it's just so unmotivating to workout if the place smells like BO!nStaff members are superb though.

I have been a member of city fitness when they took over club physical. This year I have finally had enough of this place.nnThe gym itself is fantastic with a great setup and plenty of machines. Personal trainers are very friendly and respectful of people training around them. This is very rare in gyms.nnHowever The past 2 years the Newmarket branch has turned into pure chaos.nnThis is solely due to bad management and staff not being supervised.nnMajority of the staff are rude and some have an absolute opinion about themselves. The female staff walk into the mens change room when ever they feel like it. It’s crazy looking up half naked and a female staff member is walking around. They are suppose to announce themselves before walkingnIn. They do announce themselves as they are walking in. Might as well not bother.nnShowers are disgusting and the gutter system is always blocked. Change room itself looks like a bomb has hit it most of the time. Trash everywhere, bin is over filled and there is beard stubble in the sinks nnYou have people filming and taking pics of themselves in the change room and have some members corner off sections of a gym to do video shoots. Staff do nothing.nnMachines are constantly being repaired and out of order.nnThe latest is some members bringing speakers into the club and playing loud music. Staff do nothing.nnThe school kids are an absolute nightmare. They come in big groups and take up so much space and don’t even train.nnIf you are a serious trainer and have a good discipline and go to a gym to train. Then stay away from here.
