Le Cafe de Paris
"Being greeted with a friendly “Bonjour!” as you enter the Cafe de Paris is one of its unique charms. The French owners, Alain from Lyon and Valerie from Pau settled in Rotorua since 2003.They provide a wide variety of French cuisine and an all day breakfast with a very competitive price of $11.90 . You can taste their unique almond croissant. They also make authentic French crêpes sweet or savoury with a gluten free option. It is the original French café in Rotorua where you can have the taste of authentic French food surrounded by some “ouh, là! là!” or “Voilà”…Alain and Valérie welcome you with Bonjour and you are the most welcome if you want to try your French..Come and have a French experience without the jet lag…."

Hands down, the best breakfast place we tried on our New Zealand trip. The staff is amazing and quite patient with tending to queries and changes. We started off with all day breakfast and creamy mushroom. We were provided with alternative option to replace meat with additional hash brown and toast. The creamy mushroom was one of the most scrumptious dish that I’ve ever tasted. We tried Crepes with salted caramel and cream, which was to die for. In the end, we couldn’t resist having the mushroom pie which looked so good from outside. The crust was so crisp, and the texture was incredible. It’s a shame we were quite full and couldn’t finish it off. We had a croissant to go which light, flakey and buttery. Possibly a bit pricey, but worth every cent. Must try if you are in Rotorua and it’ll put you in a great mood to kick off the day.
We came here to try the crepes. We had one savoury and one sweet. We also shared a wee sweet treat for those of us who had the savoury crepe. The crepes were excellent and big enough to share if you weren’t after a large meal. The coffees were good and so was the milkshake the kid had. We will be back!
Great food. spacious and clean space. Super friendly staff. The have a combination of breakfast, including any kind of kiwi breakfast. as well as french crepes and sweets. Plenty of parking around. Easy drive from Rotorua city centre and all major hotels.
We absolutely enjoyed our brunch here, lovely little cafe takes you straight to Paris & gives you very Parisian vibes… Crepes were amazing, we ordered apple cinnamon and Nutella strawberry, what a great tasting crepes. If you are coffee person I would highly recommend to try Vienna coffee, perfect blend of black coffee and with hint of cream. Thank you guys for making our day
Had a lovely lunch at the Cafe. We had onion soup and two crepes salmon and ham. They were all very delicious. The coffees were also nice.
Haven't visited for a while, but still so very good. Lovely food and great selection. Very nice staff. I would love to be able to make a salmon omelet like they do at Le Cafe De Paris. But alas I cannot, so I will leave it to the experts and visit again soon.
Spot is always packed when I walk past. Friendly staff Coconut mocha was good, medium strength. All day breakfast was solid and a hard to pass up deal at $14! Cabinet treats looked good. Looking forward to trying the crepes next round!
Lovely french cafe in Rotorua city centre. Food is great: I had the all day breakfast, a lemon cake and croissants and everything was delicious! French owners are really nice and the whole place has a nice atmosphere. Good coffee as well!Food: 5/5
A very delicious onion soup and a yummy crepe with homemade caramel. This is the only place I know in NZ that features their almond croissant with marzipan which makes this a real French style Must to visit while in Rotorua!Recommended dishesSalty Caramel Crepes, French Onion Soup
Crepes here are super delicious! Got the Special and I absolutely love the combination of bacon, banana, ice cream and maple! The servings are really generous as well. Highly recommend to visit this cafe when you are in Rotorua!
