Lan Yuan, Dunedin Chinese Garden

Very beautiful and calm place to spend some time relaxing surrounded by plants. It's not very big but it's a nice way to spend marine 40 minutes to an hour. There are plants native to China, a waterfall and a big pond with ducks and water lillys. There's a restroom and a gift shop too. There are some sitting areas as well.

Nice place to go. A small Chinese garden with a small entry fee.nnNothing too special when compared to Hamilton gardens but still done and looked after with a lot of love an affection.

Small yet delightful creation of Chinese Garden. You feel like you are in China when inside. Warm & cozy wooden interiors of the rooms create a special vibe. There are many beauty spots to shoot a pic. Couldn't imagine such a creation in Dunedin. Congratulations

These gardens are really special. They may appear small when you first enter but you can easily spend a few hours here if you take it slow, read the plaques, enjoy the books in the library, have a tea & relax with the view. There are lots of secrets to be found and so many careful details. It’s extremely transportive and felt like I traveled to another world for a bit. Take your time. It’s well worth it.
