A great place to visit for contemplation and inspiration. A well laid out garden with major water features, gardens and places to sit and enjoy the moment. A number of wild ducks enjoy the garden. There are many historical signs outlining the history of Chinese in NZ & Australia.nA nice touch is the opportunity to make your own drawing to take home of a garden feature with provided paper, clipboard and pencil case.

A stunning Chinese inspired garden with lots of history and native plants and flowers. We enjoyed walking around the garden, over the bridges and up the rocks to see the beautiful landscape. Waterfalls and wildlife make the place feel magical. There is a tea room and gift shop on the premises as well as chess.

Lovely morning spent at the gardens, such a beautiful place, tranquil and oh so pretty. We had tea at the end and played checkers nice start to a big day in Dunedin. Recommended.

Absolutely beautiful, but could use some handrails at the steps. There were quite a few people from the cruise ship that was in town, and some were really struggling getting up and down the steps. Very serene place, and worth a visit.
