Within Dunedin City bounds you can enjoy native New Zealand podocarp forest with some few hundred years old rimu and matai trees. Secluded location is great for short few hours escape into nature.

This is hard to find: it IS marked accurately on Google maps but there’s no sign on the road that says Moores Bush Reserve. We passed it twice even tho Google Maps correctly showed. I’ve posted a photo to help you spot the entrance
