Dunedin Botanic Garden

Incredible displays and descriptions of the various plants. Enjoyed reading the info boards on many of them. Aviary was very good. Wished more people would have been quiet around the Kawakawa like the signs said. Maybe a giant sign at eye height to be quiet because the birds are in recovery!!! Was an absolute privilege to see them and I hope others are more respectful than when we were there.

Beautiful place to visit. Well thought out and impeccably curated and kept. The upper gardens had a wide array of flowers and plants that were very unique to NZ. Delightful! Unfortunately we only got to view the amazing green house from the outside but it looked full to the brim of beautiful greenery!

A definite must see in Dunedin! One of the finest Botanical Gardens I have visited. Well designed, loads of unusual flowers, massive trees and plants. Exotic local birds section. We stayed for hours.

Beautiful gardens. Loved being here just after spring seeing all the colourful flowers and manicured gardens with a small lake and the river surrounding the park is beautiful. A very peaceful place for a walk

Very impressed with the aviary. Well kept - clean and tidy amongst the trees, some beautiful birds. We walked up but did notice you can drive up. A great facility to view for free. They do accept coin donations and if you are impressed like we were, you could pop online and donate some money.
