Overall a decent experience. The food and service were quite good, and the restaurant itself was clean with a comfortable dining atmosphere.nnHowever, I was expecting the flavors to be a bit bolder and more vibrant, especially for Malaysian cuisine, which is usually known for its strong spices and rich taste. The dishes were a little on the bland side compared to what I’m used to. That said, it’s still a nice spot to enjoy a quiet meal, and the staff were friendly and attentive.
Honest review from a Malaysian - I love my Malaysian food hahannWe ordered 3 dishes to take away. Nasi lemak beef rendang, mee goreng vegetarian, normal mee goreng and sambal fish fillet.nnNasi lemak - beef rendang was mostly fat with minimal peanut, anchovies and cucumber with half an egg and to top it off they forgot to provide the sambal along with the dish disappointing as that was supposed to be the star of the dish!nnMee goreng - both were tasteless. Vegetarian mee goreng barely had any variety of vegetables and 2 sad tofu puffs. We literally ate half and chucked the rest.nnFish sambal - filled with batter and does not taste at all like a Malaysian sambal dish. Requested for it to be spicy but was mild and tasteless. Again ate half and chucked.nnOverall experience was disappointing as I’ve heard good things about the food. Probably a stroke of bad luck but definitely unwilling to give it another try.nnTheir durian cake is good. I’d go back for their cakes but not the food.nnZero disrespect here, we spent over $120 and expected quality. Hope you guys improve on the food nnPeace and love
SCORE: 80/100nnBit of a hidden gem within West Auckland. Their Malaysian food has great flavour. I have been here twice and have never been disappointed. Try one of their homemade crepe cakes while you are here because they are arguably the best I have had in Auckland.
Ok and satisfying but quite a different taste to usual. Sat 12pm.
The food was delicious. Wonton soup was flavourful, the chicken wings & skewers were delicious and the Mi Goreng & Seafood Laksa were lovely. The taro crepe cake & blueberry cheesecake were decadent! Thank you for the lovely meal and very friendly service. We will definitely stop by next time we are out this way and will definitely recommend to friends & family!
