Very welcoming team checking in. Rooms are very clean, although dated. Nearby parking at a Wilson's park. Slept well and headed down for breakfast. Continental breakfast OK but quite expensive $23. No issues checking out. All staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay again.
We held our wedding anniversary here in the function room. The staff went out of their way to help. The room setup was amazing, the food was great, and everything went smoothly. Thanks, Hayley and the team, for a great evening
Room was alright for what we paid. Had everything we needed and was tidy and comfortable. Great location in the center of town with parking a 2minute walk away. Communication with staff to get the room was not the best but we got there in the end. Overall an OK place to stay
Rooms are clean but no air conditioning, which means you have to have windows open at night and then incomes the city noises.nnWe ate in the restaurant the three nights we were there. The service in there was excellent. Awesome staff. And AMAZING food and cocktails.nnThe big disappointment for us was the lift. We had the fright of our lives where the lift dropped suddenly when going up to the 4th floor. We let the manager know and he was super blaise about it. Didn't call a technician, or put an out of order sign on it.nnI never used the lift again the whole stay, but a friend staying in another room did and he ended up being stuck in there for an hour. Finally an out of order sign was put on and a technician called. This could of been avoided if tech was called when we reported the issue.
Absolutely the the best value for money hotel experience I've had for years. Great staff, great bars, great food, classic kiwi stuff! Just fancy enough, and just casual enough.
