The Kelvin Hotel is in a very good location, and is within walking distance to the local restaurants and down town.nWe couldn't fault the staff, room and service we received.nOur room on Level 5 was quiet even on a Friday and Saturday night and the meal in the hotel restaurant was great. The parking was free and convenient.
A good quality, value for money hotel with a perfect address in the centre of the city, with free covered car parking just a few metres away. A warm welcome and outstanding dining add to the well appointed rooms for a wonderful experience where everything was just right.
Very good service, slightly mistake where they had cancelled my booking when checking in which was a concern, food was served off mussels which is concerning. Room is small but good for a 1 person not a family or couple. Walls super thin, can hear people next to you snoring and talking etcnNo freezer in room and very tight in bathroom
Bit dated inside but generally ok.nHeating didn't work but was remedied quickly. Very tidy bathroom, lobby area stunning access excellent via elevators.nSouthland nice to visit great people.
Not bad for Invercargill! Not the most lavish hotel I've stayed at but definitely the perfect go-to. The foyer is nice and I liked the bar and restaurant on the 1st floor. Rooms were decent, the complimentary toiletries were a plus. Refrigerator in room wasn't terribly cold though. One of the lights also didn't work outside bathroom room 502.nAs someone who is a bit scared of elevators, I am glad to say that I managed to use the elevators during my stay. The elevators get a big tick from me no weird shaking or noises so elevatophobia friendly ;nKinda awkward handing in key at the end of our stay as I waited for a long time for receptionist to finish talking to another client, I was in a little bit of a hurry. A little box to return keys would be awesome and help with efficiency. Overall pretty good, reliable hotel, comfortable and friendly.
