I will be staying in this hotel for three nights. The staff are very efficient and informative, when I enquired about a taxi for the airport I was informed there is a taxi rank across the road, or they can call a cab.nI had a meal in the restaurant which was excellent, the house salad is really good. The staff are great.nThe facilities in the room are good especially the shower room, nice and spacious. Everything is provided and is very clean.nThe only reason I scored less than perfect is my room was a little small. For me it was OK but for two it would be tight.nPleased I picked the Kelvin!
The hotel feels like a historic accomadation , it was great to move around with eased where everything is in the hotel itself. A restaurant on the first floor and sports bar on the ground level. The services was so friendly and the food was satisfying for the dollors spent and the hotel was so central you can just walk around to main shopping distance and other places.
I stayed at the Kelvin hotel last week and it was fabulous. I loved the old school feel about the place, the rooms were comfortable and clean, the restaurant 'Level One' had an exceptional and very reasonably priced menu. The food needs special mention, the seafood chowder, the ribs, chicken nibbles, pork belly, pate and eggs benedict were next level. I felt very spoilt. The wait staff and reception were helpful and had a great sense of humour. Well done Jemma, you run a great ship! I highly recommend and commend you all on your hospitality.
Perfect for the elderly or foreigners from very hot countries. The room was so boiling hot I barely slept. 1 small opening window hardly helped. No thermostat, a heater on the wall that just blew air around but didn't cool it. Gave up sleeping at 5am. Had a shower, did my hair then had to have a flannel bath to wash the sweat off before dressing. The room was cheap for what we got but the heat was at maximum resthome levels!
Enjoyed our stay. The carpark is quite a hop, skip and a jump and you need ro park in front of the door and empty your bags before parking up your car its quite a way with luggage.nIt had a nice bar and pokies room and friendly staff.
