Avoid this place. A colleague of mine had strongly discouraged me to go there, and i should have listened, but everything else was sold out. First of all, i had booked at a rate of 210$ a night, that they did not honnor, they charged me 390$ per night, off to a great start. My bedroom window was opened when I got to my room, it was 5 degrees outside, needless to say the place was freezing cold. I have included a picture of the window, i think everyone can agree it should not belong to a room that is 390$ a night. There is a crack covered with tape… . Worth mentioning no hairdryer in the bathroom, and reception is only open from 8am to 6pm. Will not return and will make sure no one I know goes there.
Totally regret staying here. Rooms are very basic and have the feeling of a hostel or halfway house. Heating insufficient, bathroom tiny. Lounge was dirty, kitchenette very tired, tv was positioned behind bed head so no way to watch it. Window panes broken in all windows. Asked about parking and told it was $10 but no further information provided so parked on Main Street. Rang reception to enquire about heating but phone was never answered.
Stay only if you have to.nTuatara is a better option on a budget.nStaff can't help delapalated rooms they we're friendly and helpful.
Our return stay 3 days later was a very pleasant stay.nWe were allocated a very special unit and I have to compliment the manager on the trouble he went to, to improve our previous night.nThe hotel needs a lot of improvement, but it is reasonably priced, a great location, and free parking on the street for an overnight stay. The rooms are very small but when there is so much to see and do you only need a place to rest your head.
Prime location but an old place with very low amenities.. wasn’t too bad for one night wasn’t expensive though
