JUCY Car Rental and Campervan Hire Queenstown Airport

Excellent from start to finish. No problems no issues. Sort the paperwork, quick run through of the van and off I went. I had a Chaser for 2 weeks. What an awesome little van. Has everything for a self contained van trip, including a hot shower!! I knew it had a shower, but didn't know the water was hot until I burnt myself washing the dishes after the first dinner! nI read some negative reviews and comments before booking, so was a bit tentative but I would definitely book with Jucy again. My bond was returned to my account before I boarded my flight out of Queenstown, just in time to pay the bond on my next van rental.nThe team were short staffed when I arrived, but it was 30 minutes to closing time so that's understandable.nA WhatsApp number to call for the shuttle would be useful. I only have a data plan so couldn't call the number given which meant I had to get a taxi there

The JUCY rental was awesome for us. Perfect amount of room for two to sleep decently-comfortably. Handles well when driving. Only reason we didnt give it 5 stars was because the van smelled pretty bad the entire time, kind of like it isn't cleaned

**Google Review - 0 Stars**nnQUEENSTOWN **nnI am utterly disappointed with the experience I had with JUCY. The toilet and shower in the van were both out of order. We spent $4100 for a 7-day rental, expecting everything to function correctly. When we returned to have the issues addressed, we were unexpectedly charged an additional $110 for insurance on a new van. It was not at our fault we needed a new van.nnAs if that wasn’t enough, the key broke while we were using the van, and we were forced to pay an extra $1000 for its replacement. This situation was not our doing, and it would have likely occurred with the next customer if it hadn't happened to us. The key was sticky and bent when we received it. I understand their policy states this cost if it is damaged or lost. However, giving a faulty key to start off with is unacceptable.nnTo top it off, when first picking up the van the worker crashed our van into another car on their parking lot.nnThe service and communication from JUCY have been completely unacceptable. We have asked for refunds have they have offered us $436. I would strongly advise against using this company.

I had a very disappointing experience with Jucy. First, the location is far from the airport, making it highly inconvenient to get there. The shuttle service is poorly managed—after returning, the driver had to assist with checking in other customers before taking the next group to the airport, causing extremely long waiting times. The overall process was chaotic and inefficient. This poor arrangement wastes customers’ time and clearly fails to meet their needs. I hope the company improves its shuttle service and optimizes staff allocation. The current setup is simply unacceptable. I pickup the vehicle from Queenstown, and dropped off to Christchurch.

Recommend JUCY! It was the best value to price ratio compared to all the other car rental places. The pick up and drop off process was easy. The suzuki swift was a bit old/struggled a bit on some of the very steep hills around the South Island towards Wānaka but otherwise no issues!
