Indy's Curry Pot

Lovely chef owner. Small menu as per picture and pretty brief opening hours and popular with good reason. The Aubergine curry was melt in the mouth with good portion size - we were all stuffed. The potato side dish was excellent just be aware that Bonito flakes will be added so if vegetarian or vegan be sure to point this out which he will check anyway. The egg rotti went down well with our friends. Small area for 4 people to sit in and food served in metal dishes.nMedium hot will still be hot.

Found this place randomly on Maps and given all of the good reviews, we wanted to try it out.nnWe were very happy that we did! They only do take-away, but they were kind enough to let us eat at the counter. The fried chicken was juicy and the curry was really tasty and lighter than most curries. It’s not made with ghee, so it doesn’t make you feel too full.nnBut the best thing we ate was the kotta! I highly recommend it!nnThe owners were very kind and welcoming!

Lovely meals. We had beef and a chicken curry and two Rotti breads. They were all amazing and the flavours so lovely. The rice as well was delicious with the coconut sambal. We were very impressed and will definitely get takeout there again.

My wife and I tried the lamb and chicken curry this evening and have to say we both thoroughly enjoyed our meal - delicious food bursting with flavor.nThe establishment itself is more or less a place to order and pick up your food for take away. We found the employees to be very nice, sincere, hard workers, and most importantly - know how to cook fantastic Sri Lankan curry.nIf we lived on waiheke, we would definitely be back - great food!

Yum yum yum. Such a little gem on an island with limited cuisine. This will be a regular takeaway place for us!
