The place was really busy when we arrived that we were told it would be a 40 minute wait for orders. They don't seem to have combo meals so you just order each item individually. We were already there so we put an order through and went for a walk. There were a few seats inside but it was mostly for waiting as everyone took it away. You also had an option of getting your fish pan fried instead of deep fried. They also sell fresh fish if you prefer to cook it at home.nThe fish was quite nice. It was juicy and nicely cooked. The chips weren't bad since they had a nice crispness. I also did like their corn fritter. The paua fritter was on the salty side for me. The potato fritters were ok but really thin. The food here is quite nice but it is also pricier than other fish and chip places. It would be a good idea to pre-order so that you don't have to wait too long to get some tasty fish and chips.
Yummy fish and chips. Fresh fish with nice coating, not greasy and good quality of oil.nThe service is great and fast, lovely talkative lady.nThe cafe is clean.nNow I know where is the best place for my takeaways.
Cute little fish shop and great prices! We got 2 crumbed fish, a chips, 2 spring rolls, a toasty and a curry puff. The staff work so hard under the pump and are still really lovely!
Firstly - the fish and chips are wrapped in newsprint paper which is a great start. This is a large and a medium snapper fillet crumbed, and they were huge pieces, with a scoop of chips. A great feed of F&C's and well recommend. Perhaps the chips were slightly on the small size of portion.nnThe only negative was that due to very high demand, there was a long delay between order and delivery, so my recommendation on peak nights is to order well before you need it.nnThe photos show the fillets with a can of coke so you can see the size of the fillets.
Great food, great service.nChips were crispy as! Fish was battered well and fresh.nThere was a bit of dinner rush on a Saturday but expectations were set and we were told how long it might take. If there's a line, it must be good! And it was . They're located very close to the beach so you can picnic while watching the sunset.
