Henderson to Britomart excursion. Paid cash at ticket machine for 3 adults, one way. $24. $8 per person. Cheaper with Hop Card, no doubt.
A bit bleak but okay on a fine day. Must be a bit treacherous in bad weather. Modern trains can take you to Auckland or Massey. Nearby is the old wooden station that's been restored somewhat but rather jambed with bric-a-brac. The basic shell is there but the details have gone.
Functional train stop with connection bus services into the surrounding community. Currently the escalators are under repair 07Jun2025. Very close to the mall and surrounding shopping districts.
Henderson station is wanting a bit more care and attention. Needs better signage, better toilets, better waiting comfort. Grafton station is way better. Upgrade is really needed!!
Great station, always clean, right next to the buses and West City. Plenty of free parking within a short walk or pay parking nearby. The price of rides right now is amazing!
