Gee Gee's Bar and Brasserie

We have been going to this restaurant for years, and while it has always been pricey, you got great service, great choice of food, and a lovely ambiance. Last night, we found the prices still the same, but gone were the things that defined this restaurant, and made it a good restaurant for "special occasions". They used to have amazing specials, which always made it difficult to pick from either the menu or the "special", and while you have always had to pay extra for the sides which is annoying, but has been expected, here, now it was $8 for a plain dressed green salad, or $8 for a bowl of brocolli, or $8 for chips/sauce. While the sides were nice - not really worth $8 ea. The only "special" was the market fish of the day, which is standard on the menu. It also feels as if they have gone on a cost cutting exercise - gone are the white napkins, and in place are the paper serviettes - all without dropping the cost of the meal. I can't fault the food, but there was nothing exciting - the menu is fairly standard. This place used to be packed, but last night, we were one of 3 groups, and one of the groups were loud and obnoxious - this felt like a pub experience, with good quality pub food, but at "fine dining" prices. Disappointing - and unlikely to return!

Terrible restaurant which charges a lot for disgusting food. Staff members are rude and unprofessional. Had to wait for ages before approached by a member of staff in dirty uniform. Please please if you can avoid this shithole as there are much more better and cheaper restaurant around. Additionally, during my short visit I personally witnessed that Chinese male chef spitted into food which was ready to be served after argument with guests. Well enjoy your meal.

Terrible place and disgusting food. Please please avoid at all cost. Staff is very rude and unprofessional. Food is a health risk hazard.

Awesome atmosphere and the staff were very helpful. The food was superb definitely be coming back

Good food, well presented but bit rough round the edges with services protocols

Is no longer GG's and now a mediterranean/ turkish restaurant but still enjoyable with great food and service.
