Empress Garden Restaurant

My first time dining here and I was quite pleased with the standard of service and food. Menu is quite extensive and although some of the dishes we wanted wasn't available on the night there were still decent options to choose from. I didn't have much of a say in ordering but was happy with what my colleague did order for us. Happy to go back and love the BYO option as my preferred wine choice is never on the menu so this is a new favourite for me. Corkage is $8.00/bottle of wine.

We ordered a whole 1 course Peking duck and combination vegetables. The duck was delicious with crispy skin and the vegetables were yummy too. Perfectly fed 5 adults. They were so busy they forgot to serve the rice, so we had to request that near the end of the meal. But the rice was so delicious, we just ate it plain

Had a Peking Duck banquet. The duck was juicy and crispy. The food was a little bit salty. Love the environment and atmosphere.

You don't come for the atmosphere that's for sure. You come for the food. And it's quite delicious. Must order the Peking duck Hotplate beefFood: 5/5

I had 2 course meal and few other menus for side and the duck was really good, nice crust with juicy meat. The signature duck was good but the rest of the menu were not up to standard, the beef with vegetable were too salty and the deep fried beef were too sweet.

5 star for the Peking duck! Without the duck I would have rated 4/5. Good for large groups as well - we managed to get a table for 13 people was a tight squeeze though.Food: 5/5

Been for two large family dinners 13 p over last couple years. Great food. Service is generally good. Great value for a big group with BYO helping out. Enjoyed ourselves both times.

We went to this restaurant because we had been there regularly before and were happy with the meal. We had the Peking Duck with two courses and did not realise that the second dish was mainly carcass and duck bones . Do not recommend taking the second dish with the duck. Restaurant was full and the service was just just ok - no water served on the table.

We have been going to this restaurant for many years. Especially for birthdays and other celebratory occasions. The past couple of times have been very disappointing. Disappointing enough to say that we will be celebrating elsewhere from now on. I have nothing to fault about the food but the service was appalling. I had to ask for our table to be cleaned after eating for tea/dessert as clean plates/forks were being placed on a dirty surface. The young man working there brings a serviette and dry wipes the table. He appeared quite annoyed that I asked him to do so. I asked for plates and they were wet so I was sitting there wiping the water off the plates. As we were walking out we saw the waitress pour left over tea on the table and wipe with a serviette before setting the table again. Overall, it wasn’t a very nice experience.
