What a delight to find amazing food so close to where we stayed. The crispy chicken i...
Arrived on Good Friday and found these guys open at 9pm. They were super nice even though we were the last table and they OBVIOUSLY wanted to close up. As per some other reviews, the portion sizes are large... or perhaps HUGE. We ordered 4 dishes and a fried rice. Between 5 adults and 2 kids we were no where close to finishing. Flavours are delicious and not that many people care but the tea is Exellent!
Very big portion of food and so delicious! The only setback is the portion might be a bit too big and we couldn’t finish at all! Very good Chinese restaurant and we will come back again if we visit Auckland in future! But we will definitively order less food next time!
The food is very good here. The dishes are proper Hong Kong style the right ingredients used in dishes, not "it's close enough" or "let's add some greenery in by adding peas". Portions are gigantic so prepare to take away. Parking is a bit challenging - on-site carpark is down an alleyway into their basement and spaces are a little tight. Service is great, food comes out fast.
Great takeaway, though they charge a surcharge for using a credit card. Combination fried noodles packed with BBQ pork, prawns, beef & broccoli, mapo tofu flavourful but not that spicy. Quick service.
Real Chinese. Good taste soup and fruit. The tv showing real Chinese food cooking and the great attention and attitude from the staff make this a lovely awesome place. If you come and miss it really come again
Fantastic experience, Enjoy the meal there My friend can't leave the bowl even though he's already had a lot.
Delicious and authentic Chinese food. We had take away but the restaurant looked great, especially for large groups. Don’t be fooled by the exterior, the inside is comfortably setup with 20 or so large circular tables with lazy Susan’s. The menu is mandarin first with English translation always a good sign and had everything you’d expect. Service was helpful and efficient - just as you’d expect from a well run Chinese restaurant.
I would probably classify this as a high end Chinese restaurant, ordered 4 dishes for 4 people and ended up with massive leftovers. Pricing wise it is definitely more expensive than a typical restaurant which is not surprising by the set up and dishes we have received from our meal. The taste is very good and the desert which is apples and oranges are much better than anything I have ever eaten, maybe they did something to it but it was fresh and really juicy and crunchy, which is and should be expected at a high end restaurant. Might be returning for a treat but don't think we will be able to afford to eat at such fancy restaurant at a regular basis.
Don't judge the outside of the restaurant. They may be situated next to Auckland city mission with many homeless people outside, but they have great food. A must try if you're living in Auckland for a while and missing proper Chinese food. Their roast duck and roast pork are really delicious and so are their many choices of fried rice, noodles and etc. They also have fancier and more expensive dishes meant for sharing among big round tables of 5 or more.
Food comes in large servings and tastes quite fresh. Free soup is a laudable entree. Tables are arranged to provide ample space for customers. Service is considerate. Nothing to complain.
