The food was great. The Satay chicken was the best in Auckland for us, made me remember back to southeast Asia home. Lamb was dried and not hot. Roti paper was too sweet for me. Restaurant was full and staff quite nice. Overall, not bad. you should come to try.

Cheap, delicious Malaysian food. I was curious about this place for a long time but usually it is always full. This time I went around 5 pm on Sunday. They had a Malaysian ginger beer made with coconut water, it was delicious. I tried the cheese roti around $13 and chicken skewers around $16. Both were very tasty. The service was fast. The restaurant was clean. For 2023, the prices were reasonable.

This is the best restaurant I’ve been to in a very long time. The food was absolutely delicious. Authentic, exactly the flavor we’d get in Malaysia. The staff was super friendly, and accommodating. They were easily approachable and were so kind. We need more of this type of hospitality in New Zealand restaurants. I only took one pic of the food we’d ordered since we’d already eaten half and only then I remembered to take pics. Highly recommended

If you love malaysian cuisine then this a must try out place. Authentic malaysian dishes available. A part of the restaurant is currently under renovation. But still they have the dining option for small number of groups. We were starving and all the way walked to the restaurant. Prices seems really less. We ordered, -2 lamb biriyani - texture was good and the lamb is well cooked. The tenderness is good. The best is biriyani wasn’t much oily. The vege salad was soo good and it gives a kick to the biriyani taste. One portion is more than enough for a person. -Nasi goreng - it was superb and well cooked. The texture and the flavor is rich in taste. They have even put more prawn pieces which is very rare in other restaurants. One portion is more than enough for two people. -Teh tarik haliya - was upto the perfect balance of ginger and sugar. It was a big cup. The staff is really friendly and so pleasant. This is a halal certified restaurant.

Love this restaurant! Authentic and budget malaysian food on k road. Almost all dishes on menu are so delicious. My personal favourite is nasigoreng and roti with curry. Big portion and very affordable! Staff are super friendly and attentive. Even during peak hours the wait has never been too long. I’ve tried other uncle man branches but this one is the best.

I was visiting the restaurant with my girlfriend. We had ordered nasi goreng and mee goreng. The mee goreng was very good. The nasi goreng was a bit dry but also a very big portion. In the restaurant, you could also watch the dough being made. We would like to come back again.

Exceeded our expectations. An excellent place to have your dinner . If you like Thai Food, you should definitely go to the Uncle Man's K'Road restaurant. We ate the Bergedil and the Wat Tan Hour. Both super delicious . The Wat Tan Hour was amazing . We finished it with the feeling of asking for a second one. Food: 5/5

Came here after a long time wanting to try. We had the char kuey teow and nasi lemak with petal sambal prawn. Dessert was the roti tissue with condensed milk. The kuey teow was nicely spicy as we wanted hot, the flavour is nice but strong and for me was too flavour fatigue. The nasi lemak was very flavourful also. The sides was tasty but I feel the rice was not coconutty enough or sticky enough. The roti tissue was my first time trying. It was very crispy, coated with sugar and dipped into condensed milk, fun hut messy. Overall price and portion was very good. Tasty and authentic Malaysian style dish. Would come back definitely to try other dishes. Updating this review - stomach did not feel good afterwards because of all the spices. So flavour is a bit overpowering here and could do better if tones down a bit.

Just been here for lunch yesterday. My friend recommended Mee Rebus. I went along with him. However when the two bowls were served, on the surface they looked alike but the ingredients were different. One bowl has meat added to it while the other minus the meat. When approached there was no sincere apology. In my opinion there is no co-ordination in the kitchen. Before the bowl of Mee Rebus is served to the customer they must ensure that It is prepared the way it should and not to take the customer for granted that it will be accepted whatever is served. Two observations: 1 Service was very poor 2 The quality of the food was not up to the standard it is required.

Absolutely incredible! The Roti Canai with chicken curry was one of my favorite things I’ve ever had! The Mee Gorang were also delicious! Such a great meal for a good price! 10/10 recommend!
