Very lovely ambience, neat and spacious cafe where I would love to study and chill. Decor is beautiful-a nicely arranged clutter and the music is groovy. Would love to stay here till 12am sometime! I came specifically for the cabinet food-wanted to check it out, and they have a nice variety of foods to choose from, both savory and sweet and caters to vegans too. The price is also very decent and staff friendly. I ordered a ginger and pistachio slice along with a Doris plum shortcake. The ginger and pistachio slice was only $2, so good, although the ginger part was definitely overly sweet, the base was yummy and crumbly and I enjoyed the pistachio. Would have been better if the ratio of the ginger part was less though as it was even too sweet for a sweet tooth like me to handle! 3/5 The Doris plum shortcake $3 was an unnecessary treat myself moment, and definitely tastier than I was expecting. It was nice and cool perhaps been in the cooler but I reckon it made it taste better, a very soft slice with a thin shortcake base. I do wish the base was thicker but the jelly plum section was not overly sweet and had a lovely tang. This one was easier to stomach. 3.5/5 Both desserts were lovely, but not super stand out of the crowd, just your standard cafe food. 4 star rating overall because I did enjoy the experience. Definitely need to try what it's famous for though-the crepes! Maybe one night in the near future!

I travelled all the way around the western side of the south island and thank God I found this place. Best coffee on the south island bar c1 and c4 in Christchurch and the breakfast was amazing!!! Lovely people who surprised me and remembered my order from the previous day! It's a destination of you're on Dunedin!

Very atmospheric and wonderful decore. The coffee was great as was the service.

A great little bar in the CBD, intimate gigs, great room for stand-up comedy shows. Sad to see its closing, a real loss to the city

I've loved this place in all its glorious transitions over the years. A fabulous place to perform, relax, play boardgames, get a cute feed or a tasty drink. The staff are always happy to tweak or twist a beverage to make it exactly how I like it

A chic, relaxed place to enjoy my coffee! The interior design is awesome, a lot of old decor. Prices are good, athmosphere is good, and they have curly fries!

The name intrigued us and we weren't disappointed. Cosy atmosphere, live music and interesting decorations. Great for that pre dinner or show drink or, for a LONG stay listening to the sounds of the local musicians.

Very nice. An interesting décor and well thought out delicious food. Nice to have breakfast at a place where the staff take care and pride in their food and service. Well worth a visit. It may look a little bland bit was a well balanced flavorsome delicious breakfast.

Great gin, nice atmosphere, always having a fun event or live music. Food was average.
