Distinction Rotorua Hotel & Conference Centre

Stopped in for breakfast this morning. The food on the buffet selection was fresh freshly prepared. The big stand out point were the staff, the gentleman who greeted us, and was so welcoming, the breakfast chef who cooked my omelet to perfection was accommodating, and the young lady who cleared our table was efficient without being intrusive. What an awesome experience from a guests point of view. Thank you amazing team for making the start of a wet Thursday morning such a good start, and elevating customer service on Rotorua - Kelly, Mohandas & Kristina

This place is a dump. I wish I could share the pictures. Apparently other parts have been remodeled but don’t let them put you on the first floor. Tired olive green kingdom curtains, cracked and scratched furniture. One fan while the room has three drab olive beds. They said a triple was requested for me?! By whom? I’m with a tour with my husband. This place is far from anything. It’s a depressing place.

This is a very very run down hotel. It's like they got 4 stars in 1976 and nothing has changed.nThe photo doesn't show room well.. because there's no lights, there's paint coming off and mould in bathrooms. Now normally I wouldn't be so upset but remember this is over $200 a night 4 star hotel. The hallway looks like taken from Hostel horror movie, but the most disappointing is that they doctor their photos on booking sites. Nothing on booking site even slightly resembles the reality or the factual details such as lack of heatpump so you're either cold in the night or sleep with a noisy 50yo heaternThe only really upside is room size and beds are quite comfy. Hence one extra star.

This hotel is way out of town which is a disappointment. Overall it is quite tired. Very clean though and the staff were impeccable. Good food choices and a large dining area.

Used conference rooms for a convention. Disappointing to see water dripping thru the live downlights at front. Plenty of off street parking. Maintenance is definitely an issue. The place just seems... tired. It is clean and staff are helpful. Front desk concierge very good at her job. Big welcoming smile and clear concise directions. TBH, we weren't staying here so can't comment honestly on rooms.
