Distinction Rotorua Hotel & Conference Centre

We had a great stay - the room was adequate and it was quiet. The bed was good!nIt’s so dated though and the owners need to come up with something enticing to attract more guests - a real happy hour? A special food night? An event? They seem to be full of young teenage tourists groups :

Stopped in for breakfast this morning. The food on the buffet selection was fresh freshly prepared. The big stand out point were the staff, the gentleman who greeted us, and was so welcoming, the breakfast chef who cooked my omelet to perfection was accommodating, and the young lady who cleared our table was efficient without being intrusive. What an awesome experience from a guests point of view. Thank you amazing team for making the start of a wet Thursday morning such a good start, and elevating customer service on Rotorua - Kelly, Mohandas & Kristina

I had a wonderful time over the Matariki weekend. I spent three nights in a nice, clean, and spacious room with a very comfortable bed. The staff made our bed and cleaned our room every day.nnThe buffet breakfast was delicious with many options, and the staff was kind and lovely, especially your staff member Lelly; he was very warm and made us feel at home.nnThe hotel also has a great bar, several restaurants, and a spa. Definitely a great optionnnI can't wait to come back with my family!

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying with Distinction Rotorua for our wedding night. Our room was clean, luxurious, complete with many complimentary goodies that we ourselves had forgotten. Special mention to the kitchen staff and porters who delivered us beautiful service and the most incredible meals. This menu is a hidden gem that I've only just uncovered, I highly recommend dropping in for dinner or if you're staying definitely consider eating in.nThankyou Distinction RotoruanJade and Ryan

I booked a room for myself and my fiancée to celebrate her birthday. After booking, I read some mixed reviews, but decided to stick with the booking anyway. I am so glad I did.nnA couple of days before arrival, I was called and asked if I needed a twin room for children. When I answered no, I was told that I would be upgraded to a King room. On arrival, I was told I had been upgraded to to a suite.nnThe suite was spacious with a balcony and a good view. Whilst not gleaming & new, it was very clean and well appointed. Downstairs was a grotto with private hot tubs and outside, a heated pool and large spa pool - all clean and well cared for.nnService was always friendly and attentive. We had dinner at Mr Yakitori, which was excellent. And later, a dinner at the D bar, which was also very nice. The included breakfast is comprehensive, varied and tasty.nnWhile not the newest, most sparkly hotel in Rotorua, the vibe at Distinction Rotorua is awesome and we would stay again for sure.
