Coming from Melbourne! Safe to say this is the best fish and chip shop I’ve come across, upon entering, there is no smell of old oil or smelly fish. The food is cooked on the spot, you get to choose your own fish, everything tastes fresh and spot on. Excellent fish and chip!

Very good fish and chip shop. Only problem is they didn't do grilled fish. Ended up buying fresh fish and frying it myself at home. But chips were nice. Dietary restrictions: If you're coeliac, don't bother.

Great kumara chips and nice chips. I enjoyed the fish of the day as it was moist and tasty. Despite a busy evening they were faster than they said, so don’t wander far. I ordered a sausage, expecting a more classic sausage, but it was battered and the sausage meat was similar to sausage roll meat.

The lady at the counter was super nice and friendly. Walked through the menu with me and made recommendations. Fresh fish and super tasty, highly recommend!

Stop by after my te puia show to get a quick bite for lunch. Variety of menu on the wall right in front of the wall when you enter the door. Price reasonable. Big portion of fries and good size of fish. Fish and mussels are really fresh. Good place to grab nice and decent lunch.

Beautifully cooked fish and the chips are some of the best I have had.

Ask to see the chips before they cook them as they tend to throw in all-sorts of chips. My order had crinkle cut, straight cut, and wedges thrown together but because the wedges and straight cut take long to cook all the crinkle cut where burnt and just made the order look and tasted terrible..Food: 2/5

I gave this fish and chips shop a 5 star based on other fish and chip shops. The service was great and efficient, the shop was packed so we thought we would be waiting for ages but we honestly must of waited 10-15min. The atmosphere was just like your old school grass roots fish and chips shop like back in the day, which I really like. And as far as the food goes, it was fresh, crispy, the chips had great texture and perfect amount of salt for our liking. And so much I had to finish it for lunch.
