Beautiful book store- the staff probably the owner? was incredibly nice and knowledgeable. They really have done an amazing job selecting books that people actually want to buy. I was so surprised to see they had all copies of Rupi kaurs poetry as well. I would browse this place every day if I could. Note to owners: you should put a coffee shop inside and also offer some secondhand books!

One of my favorite bookshops in Auckland. The range of collection is so great, and the owner is very friendly. He would offer to help you order the book that you want - even if it's not readily available on the shop. I really appreciate the humble, homy, and cozy interior. Book condition is also well-kept. It's simply a heaven for a bookworm. Can't wait to be back!!

A few good finds. Literally sat in the kids section just looking through all the books for my kids and never got disturbed. Lady at the counter was always greeting everyone and having a little chat while she worked. The guy who also works there asked me for help at times and was always around just in case somebody needed help, as well as the lady at the counter while she worked.

Dear Reader searched the world for an out of print book my partner wanted to get me for my birthday. They found it. I am now turning the pages of this beautiful book. I am super thrilled. All this without setting foot in the shop yet. Thank you Dear Reader for your amazing service.

Always a lovely, quiet store brimming with delicious books of all varieties! The decor is adorable and it’s right next to a number of bars and cafés so you can really make a trip out of your visit. Appreciate how peaceful it always is

Very nice selection of books and some of the staff were friendly and helpful. However I bought a Christmas present and asked for it to be wrapped. I asked the person wrapping to remove the price tag and they snapped at me saying " yes I already have" then continued wrapping with a very frosty manner. Turns out the price was still there when the present was unwrapped which makes the shirtiness doubly annoying!

Eclectic and well curated bookshop with an owner who knows his books. Lots of variety, some really interesting choices, and they're always happy to talk through different options based on your likes, needs, and things you don't even know you want yet. If they don't have it, they'll get it. Sweet as. Get in there and support your local book curator - shops like this are an Art when done well, and here it's done really well indeed!

Dear Reader is just what you want in a book shop. It's packed with a great selection of books for kids and adults, has knowledgeable staff who are great to turn to when you need a recommendation. I love supporting this shop!
