Daytona Adventure Park

A great place for the entire family!nAlthough the place was packed, all of us had fun. Go karts, paintball, ice skating, arcade, bowling, trampolines and a lot of food and breweries for us adults!nThe only thing that was a bit disappointing was the poor shape of the ice..it was hard to skate and not because it was packed, but because it wasn't smooth. You could definitely close the arena for few minutes and let the zamboni ice resurfacer do what it supposed to do.nThanks

Good track and well maintained carts. Professionally run with plenty of staff, so good safety. Had fun. 15 minutes is plenty for most novices as you get tired arms and shoulders.

FYI They speed restrict the car under 14yrs. Wanted to race ‘with’ my son. I started 1st he had to wait till everyone else 6 or 7 people had gone. As moderately experienced drivers we were disappointed. More fun at Porirua.

The staff males in particular power trip. My first lap there were a few love-taps in a packed track and I was told that if I make contact with anyone else I’d be off the track, no discussions. I understand that no one wants to hit on the course, and we don’t want the karts damaged. But when your told you can’t touch anyone one the first lap it means you have to hold back the entire time. If there is an issue with too much contact, have less people on the course. I imagine they don’t want to sacrifice their profits for the benefit of course. It makes for a dull, unadventurous experience. I would recommend the Porirua track if you’re looking for a good time.

Yesterday my partner and 13 yr old son wanted to check out the go karts. As we live outside Upper Hutt, we thought it best to check the website first. There wasn't much to go on about bookings so my partner rang to make one. He was told he wouldn't need to make one if it's not busy. When they arrived there were about 6 adults on the track. When they went to book they were told No kids on the track while the adults are on. They would have to wait until there was an opening - which might be 2 hours or so away!nThe pricing for adults and kids are the same yet there was NO information on the website to warn people about kids under 14 not being able to be booked in with adults.nNeedless to say it was a wasted hour of travel and anticipation. It was guttering.
