Burnt Butter Diner

Incredible food, everything fresh and delicious. When I tasted my partners chili eggs, I kept saying OMG THE LEMON JUICE!! Because I love when you can taste the elements of a dish that are punchy and and work well together and give you that “WHOA” reaction. I had the chicken lard and it was fresh, fragrant and a huge portion. The only downside was the wait time because there isn’t enough tables for just how popular this place is - which can’t be a bad thing!! The portion sizes are great. The staff were friendly and helpful, just all round great place.

My friend always finds the best food spots, and she told me this café was the bomb, so we went together. I’m usually not a big fan of café food, but this one blew me away. The menu has a mix of Southeast Asian dishes, and everything was so good. The vibe was super chill and hip too. Avondale is quite far from where I live, but honestly, I’d go back just for this café. The way the chef plates and combines the flavors shows real skill and experience. Can’t wait to go back and try more dishes!

I had heard such great things about this spot and the recommendations did not disappoint. If you’re looking for a cozy, comfy cafe - this is the spot. I asked the chef for recommendations and the chilli fried eggs absolutely hit the mark however I don’t think you could go wrong with any of the options. Each element was cooked to perfection with a flavour balance that was considered and complimentary. Will definitely be back for more

Excellent spot for a Saturday morning coffee and brunch and quite well priced.nWe had filter coffees, the chilli eggs & omelette and a side of hash sticks.nEverything was delicious. Little bit of a wait for food but it was super busy and everything is prepared fresh so not a big deal to us.nHighly recommend.

To summarise my experience.nnNo flat whites are available here, only filter coffee.nnBohemian, hippie,hipster, perhaps homeless.nnFelt a bit like a cafe, trying to be vegan whilst serving bacon nnYours sincerely Karen .nnBut seriously, my wife and I have eaten in restaurants and cafes all around the world.nMaybe the chef was having a bad day .nSadly, we won't be going back.
