Outstanding!nWent for the takeout option. 2 Birra, 2 Chicken, and a Guacamole.nThe Chicken tacos were delicious, with a delicate spice and a nice char and flavour, with chipotle? sauce with a subtle zing.nThe Birra were the stand out of me. A delicate slow cooked beef, a delicious char on the taco, soft and with a little crisp. The consommé/dipping sauce was spectacular. Full of flavour, a perfect accompaniment.nThe guac was fresh and delicious. The slight saltiness was perfect with the tacos.
Went to the Broke Boy Taco food truck at The Base in Hamilton. No tacos just yet coming in 2026 , but I had the birria quesadilla and WOW, it was sooo good.nnThe birria was absolutely on, with a decent amount of dipping sauce and insanely juicy, flavour-packed meat. Easily one of the best birria I’ve had. So yum.nnI’ll definitely be coming back again before I leave Hamilton!
Visiting from South Island - super impressed with the cheese quesadilla I am vegetarian - tortilla is freshly made & guacamole super tasty, fresh & delicious. Staff friendly & service fast. Def. Worth the uber ride across town.
This taco place was fantastic. We came specifically to try their famous tacos and a special ramen dish. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. Ordering was fun too, every time we ordered, they asked if we wanted to add cheese. We said yes for the taco, and it was definitely the right call.nnThe taco was outstanding. For an adult, I’d say three would be a satisfying amount. After that, we tried the ramen. It had a generous amount of meat, which made it really satisfying. I am a big fan of coriander, and they didn’t hold back, loved it.nnThe place was a bit loud with a few groups around, but the lively atmosphere actually added to the experience. We both really enjoyed our dinner here. Thanks for a great meal!
Drawn in by the hype, we definitely had high expectations. The staff were lovely and aesthetically the food and the atmosphere was top notch. However, the food flavors were very one note and very salty. We twisted there was sour cream or salsa with the taco and the ramen. The tacos were also super greasy. All in all not a bad taco but not my favorite either. Also super sad they don’t do frozen margaritas anymore! The beer was good.
