Browns Eatery and Store

Browns is a local gem. Service was fantastic and friendly. The scrambled egg was generous in portion. It’s hard to mess up a scrambled egg, but it’s even harder to make it taste this delicious. The butter that came with the sourdough made it 10x more tasty. The smoked salmon, avocado and cream cheese bagel was mouth watering. You can’t go wrong with a simple bagel for breakfast, but this transcends the typical. I don’t know if it was the chives and lemon in the cream cheese or the creamy avocado that made my breakfast magical. But I do know for a fact that this is a 10/10 bagel. 100% recommend Browns. Also you can bring your furry dogs to the outside area!!

Came in for brunch today to try out the local goods.nI liked the atmosphere, and the aroma of the juice bar was pleasant.nCoffee was very good, service was very slow and not very friendly.nNoticed our chicken sandwiches was sitting around for 10 mins while quite a few staff were walking past it but too busy chatting. My avo & eggs were good aside from costing $7 for half avo.nUnfortunately the zucchini slice was tasteless, and had to ask for salt and pepper as there was no condiments on any of the tables as well as butter.nWas expensive for what we had being $63 including the juice for $9 & chicken sandwich for $?nThere was also no prices on the cabinet food which is why we were surprised at $63.

I probably had the best omelette I ever had in Auckland, the ingredients were plentyful and it was well presented. My wife had the avocado and tomato on 5 Grains bread and she enjoyed it as well. Highly recommended place and we will be back.

Best chicken sandwich in town! I only tried the chicken stack one, not the baguette but the bread from the stack was was lovely, perfect bites. I always go back for more. The almond cappuccino was also perfect! It is such a charming cafe, definitely worth stopping by if you are in Remuera.

Front of house staff seem unhappy and stressed, and when I was waiting in line I could see the boss or manager speaking to one of the cooks NOT nicely!nnThere are no prices on any of the food and my three small biscuits cost $18, just seems a bit excessive considering that they were stale. I couldn’t enjoy them.nnThe cafe is loud and messy, stuff scattered everywhere and in the way. Overall it’s really obvious that management is lacking and it shows. I won’t be back here.
