BreakFree The Point Queenstown

Our apartment was huge! Great heating. The housekeeping could be better just the little things but the management took feedback well. BEWARE of access as this property is very steep and reception is at the very bottom of the hill. Treacherous to walk down when there is black ice!! Reception is only manned 9-5 but assistance is available via phone, which is answered promptly

Wouldn’t go back. Room 21 It was a bit of a let down when we arrived, got asked to leave for half an hour when checking in as our room wasn’t ready for us at 2pm. Had children with us that needed fed and let out of the car so we said to clean around us, the cleaners didn’t do a very good job The rooms weren’t properly tidied, mouldy windowsills, damp and dusty surfaces etc. Could definitely use a deep clean and upgrade! Some utensils and pots needed a scrub before using, oven was dirty. Not very child friendly with the stairs to get down to the bedrooms. Said rooms had sound proofing but if you are trying to sleep and someone was in the lounge/kitchen walking around that’s all you could hear. Beautiful view from the lounge and main bedroom of the mountains and the lake.

Unfortunately, we will not be returning or able to recommend this property, as expectations for an affiliated Accor property were not met. We stayed in apartment 23 from dirty bedrooms rooms with dust on and up the walls, hairs on bedsheets, and musty smell in lounge from water on the bottom of windows. The bathroom just stunk may be piping or worse, the extraction fan was moldy & covered in lint. It was truly shameful as I tried to speak on check out but was instructed just to leave the key on the desk.

We had a bit of a hectic situation in the beginning which the staff were quick to admit and sort out for us.nThe manager and the cleaner were nice and professional and remained calm.nHighly suggest this place, the location is next level.nThe driveway is in a bit of a slope so you might wanna watch out for that.

Absolutely stunning view of the lake from the glass windows. The rooms had high ceiling, kitchen was large. Bathrooms were modern. But …..n…the rooms had fly bugs that looked like mosquitoes. The lights would attract the flies and they like the bright inside walls. Small room didn’t have enough ventilation and there were spiders. Driveway was steep.
