Bay's Kebab

Popped in for a quick coffee and a slice of cake. Very tidy premises and the owner/ barista made a lovely cup of Java. I liked the matching decorative china wear, it added to the ambiance. The laying of cup & plate and placement of cutlery by the owner as seen was a classy touch.

I’ve been in here many times - the kebabs are always delicious & chips are always perfectly done. Nice & Cosy inside if you feel like sitting down for a bite to eat too.

Worst experience. I want to support local but as soon as I stepped in I asked if they were halal and the response was yes. I said do you have a certificate or anything and he responded with ‘The proof is ‘Assalam alaykum, if you don’t believe me go buy somewhere else’ and he was right!!!! NEVER thinking of coming back. So rude!!! I don’t know how you assume that everyone knows you and should believe that you are Halal. Seriously learn some manners before you open up a shop. I’m definitely NOT recommending this place to anyone and will deliberately skip this place to eat. He also started to talk to his co worker and stare me down as I was leaving with rude facial expressions. THIS IS NOT HOW BUSINESS WORKS!

Some adjacent and nearby roadside parking. Easy pedestrian access. West end of Blockhouse Bay shopping CBD. Easy access restaurant with attractive roadside frontage. The inviting and characterful restaurant has an extensive menu to meet most Kiwi and traveller's tastes and character. A childrens' menu complements the dining and takeaways menus. The Mexican Burger was tasty and pleasantly spicy/'hot". Chips were exquisite and served hot. Each if the dishes 'on rice' were tasty, nicely heated and plentiful. Team members were pleasant, helpful and efficient in taking and making up the order in great time.

He told me to eat chips that dropped on the counter table Instead of a refund or giving me a replacement and was very arrogant , I use to go here years back but won’t go ever again.

The kebab I have ever had! I also got pita with hummus takeaway, and I went back for more 30mins later

sorry, Tasteless meal. Mixed meat on rice with tasteless hummus and salad. Could not taste any of the mint sauce and no garlic taste in the garlic yoghurt. think they forgot the garlic. Wanted to support local but Never again
