Auckland Airport Kiwi Motel

I was worried after seeing the reviews but this place is really good. I would recommend it for someone who is travelling on a budget. It’s quite basic but also offers everything you need. There is functioning internet, my room was very clean and comfortable. Perfect for a night layover in Auckland between two flights. The team is very lovely and helpful too.

I am not usually one to complain, however I attempted to voice my concerns with staff and was left with very little reassurance, empathy or care.nnThe room was not clean. When we got there, there appeared to be fresh stains on the bedding and the room did not look like it had been serviced as surfaces werent clean and we had no towels. The phone did not work to call through to reception or to anyone for theat matter. We had to go to reception and ask for towels and had a lengthy wait to be attended to. The shower head wouldn't hold position. The in-house restaurant was ok but what we ordered off the menu had items missing salad, sauces ect and when asked about the missing items compared to the menu, we were met with vacant stares and no real response. We did expect restaurant quality meals to reflect the price.nnI had asked twice about the shuttle service to the airport and did not get told once about requiring a ticket. Got on the bus to find a questioning driver which then caused a bit of anxiety that we would miss the shuttle as we had to go sort this out. Communication was quite poor.nnWorst of all, my partner and I woke up with bites all over us. When I brought this to the staffs attention they had little to say and said they would let the manager know. I emailed through and was told they pride themselves on a 5 star cleaning service and welcomed us back at cost so they could show us. There were no comments on investigating, deep cleaning or wellness of their guests.nnOverall, very disappointed.

If you're looking for a place to stay before catching an early morning flight and wish to have no sleep prior, than this is the place for you. The walls are paper thin and Mars well be a shower curtain separating the rooms. The neighbouring room talked all night I'm currently writing this at 3:18am and they are still going bed seems comfy if we actually got to enjoy it. Will never stay here again and would highly recommend anyone avoiding this place if they have an early morning flight to catch.

Everything was fine, beds were very small. I'm not happy they didn't tell us breakfast wasn't free until several days after... and of course it wasn't any good.

Jeepers, has the standard of hotels and house keeping in Auck’s dropped big time. Where is the kiwi hospitality in this place? No one cares about the customer anymore??nnTop pic is what it should look like from the website. From the bottom pic, this is wot i was greeted to on my 2nd day of stay and my refill of towels went from two towels, two face cloths and a bath mat to only a bath mat. The constant humming of the washing machine and dryer a few rooms down meant I couldn’t sleep well and i was worried i would pull the door handle off as it was very loose. No welcoming itinerary provided in my room and Finally, the website said there was a gym present however, nothing of the sort was available!! Very disappointed and losing faith in utilising motels and hotels. I might just stick with airbnb accommodation!!
