I brought my 2-year-old daughter to Anglesea A&E twice in one week 8 and 12 Sept 2025 after she injured her finger. On the first visit, we were told it was just a deep cut and were sent home with minimal instructions. By the second visit, her finger smelt of infection. The care we received was chaotic and distressing — one nurse recognised it was serious and contacted plastics, but another older short red head nurse was extremely rude, yelling at me and pushing us out of the room with my child in distress and her wound still open. We were left in the hallway while a dressing was put on, and sent to ER without antibiotics or a clear plan.nnMy daughter is now needing surgery that could have been addressed earlier with proper care. The lack of thorough assessment, poor communication, and disrespectful treatment were unacceptable and left me completely overwhelmed.
The staff take things personally. They need to understand, a customer / patient is not specifically mad at the staff but the situation their health is in and disappointment in the system and numerous other reasons. None of those reasons is staff as a person but the staff take things personally and team up. No shouting or yelling, just simple questions about how and when and where and why, with all the due respect. Still the receptionists took it personally.nnAsking where I am in the queue and how long before I am seen, shouldn’t be pushing your buttons. Answering customers inquiries is your job too not just swiping cards.nnMaybe a little more kindness and empathy to your customers would help your business. Now that you have started GP services, maybe kindness would help with your business.nnI understand the staff deals with 100s of people everyday and gets frustrating. But this your job you have to be nice and kind no matter what. If you get tired and your fake smile and kind words fade away after seeing a few patients, Maybe YOU ARE IN THE WRONG JOB, leave for a job where you don’t have to deal with grumpy sick frustrated customers.
“ argent care “ be prepared to wait 2-4 hours i had a broken collar bone and judy told me ill be seen soon because its bad. they see people based on how bad it is, not how long you’ve been there. i understand that but dont give out false information because i was waiting about 2 hours to be seen with my collar bone. reception lady’s are really nice and understanding. but the staff that takes you to triage i can’t recall her name but it did start with a J she was very impatient with me and overall rude, when she asked if i was vaccinated and i said nope she gave me this disgusting look. TREAT PEOPLE EQUALLY.
We recently visited this urgent care with our small baby, and it was one of the most frustrating medical experiences we’ve ever had. When we arrived, the receptionist told us the wait would be about 30 minutes. Instead, we ended up waiting for over 5.5 hours in the waiting area, no proper updates, and no sense of urgency from the staff.nnWhen we finally saw the doctor, it became even more disappointing. He didn’t seem to fully understand the symptoms and ended up prescribing the exact same medication we were already taking — something that was clearly mentioned in our intake form and during the consultation. It felt like our concerns were dismissed, and no real effort was made to properly assess the situation or suggest an effective treatment plan.nnWaiting that long in urgent care with a baby is unacceptable, and the lack of proper communication or thorough medical attention was shocking. This experience has really shaken our trust in the system, and we will not be returning. Real shame on the way this place operates.
The staff are friendly and compassionate. The queue can be quite long but that's most health facilities. It's great to have free fees for kids during a certain time of the day. Also, kudos to Dr. Linda Moore who is very knowledgeable in treating eczema.
