The double bed was VERY UNCOMFORTABLE could feel the springs digging into my back as old mattress without any thick/cushion mattress topper, same with the single bed it was just as uncomfortable with springs. The bathroom sink was clogged, kitchen cupboard door was very loose/unhinged. I was invoiced $600NZD for 4 nights and when we arrived we were charged an extra $40 unsure what this extra charge was for and took me by surprise. $600NZD for 4 nights I'd expect a motel with comfortable beds, more pillows rather than 1 pillow single bed, 2 pillows on the double bed. I am not at all happy with the amount I was charged to sleep on such a hard mattress with springs nearly breaking through the mattress fabric, I had sore and achy back from this daily!
Rooms were a bit dated, but clean.nBeds were comfy.nBut no wifi password available in the room, was too late at night to go to desk to ask for it.nAnd no milk for a tea or coffee.nDriveway is steep, be careful if you have a low car. Scrapes
Paid $180 per night was there 3 nightswifi not included .toilet seat broken
The best thing I can say is that the non-stick frying pan was good. Now, here's to the reality of it! Check-in, no one there, and so we WAITED, it was slow, and no warm welcome or information. Just given a key that was hard to use to unlock the door. The corridor stinks!! Once we went in, we were taking back by the very old decor and furniture, but here we are. The beds were old, I mean like sleeping in bed at an old family batch in the middle ocno where old!! Lumpy, mattress protector was disgusting, and the sheets had stains and narks. How we didn't get bed bugs is beyond us. The walls are grimy and vomitious, like never washed. The carpet didn't look vacuumed, and there were years of grime on walls, doors, and skirts. I'm not even talking about the rotten skirts or dents in walls and furniture. I'm talking about the filth. The kitchen was poorly stalked. The fridge, while cold, had no shelving in the doors, so little storage and the exhaust fan over the stove was broken. So, if you cooked, you couldn't use the exhaust fan to extract smells. The bathroom was okay, but the shower was too low, great for a face wash or a kid. The sinks would drain, even from brushing your teeth. I had a bad back from the sleep. Terrible noise, the air con squealed, the curtains were old and torn. The TV was a basic freeview. They allowed noisy people to party and play loud music. When I went to the counter to address my concerns, there was NEVER anyone there to speak to. We left a day early and didnt even get to speak with a manager about it. We stay in many places quite often, for similar prices, and that was THE worst by far. Avoid this motel. They are not interested in anything but your money. Filthy and demoralizing.
Room was clean and tidy. Furniture was a bit dated. Modern bathroom and kitchen.nThe host explained where the parking was but not much else. At first I thought the room had no power so had to ask why as there were no lights etc. Where he then told me about the key fob needing to be placed in a slot on the wall to activate everything.nHunted out the pool our selves. A decent sized cold pool, a large heated pool under cover and a spa. Funnily enough the heated pool was hotter than the spa.nBoth could have done with a clean as,.. let's just say you wouldn't want to accidentally swallow a mouthful..nOverall reasonably priced compared to others around.nRoom for myself and 2 kids. The kids shared the queen bed and I took the single which was fine as there was no foldout in the room.nKorean restaurant attached to the building and a close drive to other eateries.nOverall not bad.
