At Academy Cinemas we all about celebrating the best films from around the world and showing them to you in the heart of Auckland City. We have 2 beautiful cinemas, a 210 seat theatre and a 16 seat boutique theatre for a more intimate experience! Come and enjoy a glass of wine or beer in our newly revamped lobby and sit down for a great viewing experience with our fully digital cinema with brand new sound system!

These are my cherished local screen rooms. A really eclectic mix of classic and art house flicks presented at reasonable prices. The 5 dollar Wednesday is a regular haunt for many of us who are open to sampling different genres. The staff are so lovely too. First time going and it was a really cool cinema. Prices are pretty cheap compared to other places, and after watching Demon Slayer they also gave out free posters which was really nice! Highly recommended.

Great cinema that shows a range of films from arthouse to mainstream and often has retro screenings. Great ticket prices, good snack range and a superb members club offering a stupidly long list of benefits
Great little cinema, tucked away under street level & bursting with all kinds of international & local movies, special features and character. Just watched the classic 1931 Dracula with Bela Lugosi & was not disappointed in the popcorn or cocktails on offer. Check it out sometime!
