Auckland Town Hall is a prominent civic landmark of neo-Baroque style. Taking pride of place on Queen Street in Auckland’s CBD, it is known both for it’s original and ongoing use for administrative functions for Council as well as its famed Great Hall and Concert Chamber. Auckland Town Hall has been at the centre of the city’s political and cultural life since its opening, and over the years has hosted countless significant events and figures. Attractive stained-glass windows, ornate plasterwork and spectacular chandeliers combine to make this a beautiful venue.

I went on the auckland town hall guide today and it was excellent I highly recommend it. It is very interesting and the person who takes you is very enthusiastic about the history of the place.

Great venue for live music. Acoustics are good. Has a massive organ. Pic seats carefully as for some you can't see the whole stage.

Concert Chamber: a smaller venue than the town hall andjacent to it in same building. An excellent auditorium with superior acoustics. Seating is good. Recommended.
Best concert hall in Auckland. Being together in the audience with so many elderly people brings warm feelings as well.
