Equipment is ancient and fixed up with tape cardio. Not to mention the lack of any sort of fans or air movement other than the windows which may or may not be opened depending on who is doing weights nearby. Add to that that the main workout areas are up an old, narrow flight of stairs and this gym is a recipe for trouble.
August 2022: The word "Mega" would come with the connotation that this venue would have a greater variety of equipment to use, than other locations. With the temporary closure of Zap Moonah, the Moonah crowd have all moved to Glenorchy. Although greater in sizes, the number of items of equipment are less than our usual Moonah gym. Less cable machines, less treadmills, less bench press and weight racks. There's more space, but you don't go to the gym for open space. There's nothing mega about this place that's worth noting. Maybe management could invest in more machines to fill all the empty space perhaps?
I wish I could give them 0 but one is the minimum I can go .. Staff are not aware of the service they provide and processes to transfer and cancellation membership .. Been with them for 2 years plus - had to transfer the accounts but they kept charging me after the transfer, upon enquiry they weren’t able to explain me why they charging two people at the same time, were annoyed when asked further clarification! Such a poor customer service !
Very good gym but I was not able to work out the opening hours.
Zap fitness Glenorchy is fully equipped with all necessary gym equipment. It has got larger space as well. There is a big room for group fitness training as well. Small things they need to concern is about the cleanlinesses of toilets. Other than that everything is good and I enjoy going there.
Zap Fitness is very good I wish everyone will register there
Usually it's a very nice place to workout, I would give 1 star due to this very rude employee name Milan, other fellows here super nice made me increase the stars. I always have towel and I follow guidelines. I'm not sure why milan is coming to me only always asking me for my number all the time. Other people are working out even without towels, doesn't say word to them, super rude even if you ask him something. Zero customer service.
Possibly the worst place in Hobart to train. Was given false information to join up in a unique situation and was told I should have read my contract to avoid more payments. I don't live in Hobart and am getting charged anyway. Very dissappointed with their customer service and won't be using their facilities again.
It really is my favourite budget gym. I have had memberships at fitness first and virgin active and while they are nice, for me to get the results I want I genuinely don't need 90% of what those flashier gyms provide.
