It would have been 5 stars, but after calling to ask about the inflatables earlier in the week we were told they'd be up. Arrived after driving an hour to find they weren't up because they didn't have the staff to man it. the slide was open intermittently, and the diving board was open but a very long line up. Food was okay but not fantastic. Dipping dots were delicious though and the staff were lovely. The kids loved the slide and play area.
Great fun for kids of all ages with plenty to do in the leisure pool! Good selection of both healthy and fried/treat options at the Cafe, as well as the little ice cream balls that kids go nuts for. Family change room looked clean enough but certainly didn't smell like it, bit of extra cleaning might be required there.
March 2023: I haven't been here for decades. It's a decent venue, pool facilities were decent. Will definitely pay for sauna and spa use next time. Changing facilities were sparse and lacking anywhere to place valuables whilst you showered.
A good facility in many ways but there is some very sloppy management. The parking is a total mess. The boom gates and ticketing system haven’t worked for years. Absolutely laughable. Like a third-world country. The result is that a lot of the car park is taken up with people parking all day and patrons quite often simply can’t find a parking spot. The entrance to the centre is a disgrace. Unswept. Weeds everywhere. Rubbish under the bench seats. Dirty dustbins. Peeling , unpainted bench seats. The young lifeguards play exceedingly loud music, which is very irritating for many patrons but, even more importantly, is a very dangerous health and safety problem. It makes it quite impossible for the lifeguards to hear any calls for assistance or for the instructions of the lifeguards themselves to be heard. Don’t bother writing to or messaging the management with this sort of feedback which they actually ask for!!! because you won’t get any reply. This is just not good enough.
I suggest updating website. Checked lap lane availability this morning showed 6 lap lanes of 25 m from 8.30 am and nothing before that and then decided to ring up centre to confirm. Recorded message said they would answer soon. Gave up after a while. Arrived at centre at 8.30 to find out that it had opened at 8 am and that there were 9 lap lanes. Also was told that they don’t answer phone on Public holidays. I suggested they changed their recorded message on Public holidays. Was told they couldn’t! Re lockers: Please put a piece of tape to stop people trying to put coins in the lockers which don’t take coins. I think that a surcharge of 40 cents for a $2 locker is pretty stiff. May I suggest that you change the boom to one with holes for ropes so as to avoid the 1 1/2 hours it took to complete the boom movement and ropes reattachment a few days ago. Could also do with hooks on wall opposite female shower cubicles as cubicles too cramped when door is closed and things hanging there get wet. Thank you
Last week me and my good buddies were going to swim some laps. We arrived at the facility; we went to the 50-meter pool. and we saw a newborn baby take a poo in the pool. it was horrid. the family didn't get kicked out. Nore did the poo get cleaned. it stunk out the whole area. I had to swim in the poo. Food was great though x
Went there at Saturday today, and we are planning to swim from 4:30 to 6:00 pm because that’s how it’s listed on website. There was an swimming event booked at 1:00ish pm to 4:30 pm. We got there saw the event was still going and thought it would be over soon. However it kept going until 5:30 pm, that’s when we decided to leave. Very disappointed and would advise everyone don’t go after an event. Also while the event not listed 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm and prevent anyone from going there for nothing? Or it’s on purpose so they could have some extra “income” where people coming for paying a session and swim but got disappointed and left for nothing? Saw lots of people coming looked and left during the event. Very disappointed.
Enjoyed the gentle exercise & walking lane for my back injury. Today I learnt management have removed the gentle exercise & walking lane as a trial and the lane is now called Play Area. Very disappointing for people who are trying to rehabilitate or trying to get fit. Bad management decision.
Great swimming pool. It is heated. Would be appropriate to swim in either winter or summer. They have 8 lanes for 50 metres pool and 6 lanes 25 metres pool. And there are other pool areas that I didn’t get a chance to have a look. Staff is helpful and informative. Price is decent for students. Will come back for more swimming sessions.
Casual visit prices are a bit steep, male change rooms and showers have needed a face lift for the last ten years. Super busy early morning, parking is a nightmare, the kids area looks new and fresh will bring the family back!
