Disappointed with the Barramundi – Not Worth the PricennI ordered the barramundi at the Boronia Hotel expecting a whole fish, as that’s what I’ve received at many other restaurants for the same price. Instead, I was served two small fillet slices – not even close to a full portion – which was a huge letdown.nnTo make matters worse, the presentation was terrible. The fish was just plonked on top of a mountain of chips, and the plate was overloaded with salad and fries, clearly used as cheap fillers. It felt lazy and poorly thought out.nnFor the price, this meal was absolutely not worth it. If you’re looking for quality seafood or decent value, I’d recommend going elsewhere.
We had a family of 15 celebrating 4 birthdays and Mother’s Day. Nothing was too much trouble for the professional staff. Bringing our own cake was not a problem, with the hotel supplying plates and extra cutlery. Fantastic service and good food.
Great place for a relaxing lunch while the kids have a play in such a spacious indoor playground. Service was good and food came out fast. Great tasting pub food and good kids menu too. Kids didn't want to leave which is a great success. Plenty of tables near the playground so you can sit back and relax knowing where the kids are. They have something for toddlers up to older kids so suits all ages. We will be back again with the kids.
We visited Boronia Hotel after many years of absence, as my young daughter was excited to play in Kids Planet.nnOur meal quality was quite average. We waited over 45 minutes for our food to arrive, despite the bistro being only 1/4 full at most. Chips were cold great for the 3yo, poor for the 2x adult meals, adult’s fish & chips were lukewarm at best. Having waited so long, we didn't bother sending our meals back. Minimal staff to speak of so we didn’t bother trying to give feedback.nnI had downloaded the Frisbee App, thinking I would likely return so my daughter could use the play area. Told the staff member taking orders at the counter that I was a member and asked to scan my card, she advised she would do so after taking my order. She directed me to the card terminal to take payment, I asked about my member card and was told ‘Too late’ myst be impossible to go back and add to orders too. She was not interested at all in doing her job very surly attitude so I just gave up.nnKids Planet is in desperate need of an extensive clean, and numerous repairs. In it’s current filthy state, it is a great play area to build child immunity. Such a shame, as aside from the dirty surfaces and food scraps throughout, it could otherwise be a fantastic play environment and prime reason to lure families back for repeat visits.nnWe will not be back in a hurry, we can pay far less for superior service and quality food elsewhere.
I ordered the Vegetable Wok with Chicken. It was absolutely beautiful. I went and passed the compliments onto the Chef. I absolutely recommend it. We ordered from the seniors meal which included a complimentary glass of wine.
