Stopped by Yatala Pies in Brisbane — the place is nice and cool with plenty of seating, and the service is really quick. They even have a drive-thru, which is super convenient.nnI ordered the bacon & cheese pie. The crust was delicious — flaky and perfectly baked — but the filling wasn’t as good as I expected. Overall, it’s a decent spot, especially for the pastry and quick service.

Ah, the famous pie shop. The pie was really good, great filling, perfect temperature, buttery biscuit-style pastry, and friendly staff running a smooth setup. I had the pepper steak which is the best IMO, but the chicken mushroom was great too. Honestly one of the better pies I’ve had in my life. I’m from New Zealand and have had my fair share of pies, and this is definitely up there. Well worth a stop if you’re passing by.nnOnly feedback is the peppered steak could have had more pepper!

I had a great experience at this pie shop! The service was excellent, and it’s a really nice place to sit down and enjoy a meal. The shop has a charming classical vibe, offering a wide range of both sweet treats and savoury pies – even vegetarian options, which is impressive. I also love that they provide free sauces tomato and BBQ, a simple but thoughtful touch. The pies themselves are generous in size, very satisfying, and reasonably priced.nnOne small note: the pastry on the vegetable pie could be improved, as it seemed a bit wet. Other than that, everything was spot on – definitely a spot worth visiting for anyone craving a good pie!

Used to be much better. Now the gravy in the pies taste cheap. Was genuinely a great place years ago but now local bakery's are much better. Lady serving seemed like she hated her job.
