Wuchopperen Health Service is a credit to our region, offering best practice health and and community engagement programs as well.
Very clean and well mannered staff. The nurses and doctors are very thorough. Always a happy patient but, there is always a but though. Well, my deepest concern is, ''is there anyone minding the phone?'' To call them I have be put on hold more more than 15 minutes and then the line gets cut off or it goes to their answering machine. No matter what time you call during business hours, its always the same. If you are lucky, someone may picked up the phone. I think it is ridiculous. There are not many patient sitting and waiting to be treated. If Cairns 24hrs Medical can answer numerous phone calls, make appointments and attending to those on the counter, I think Wuchopperen Health can do better in that area. Otherwise, like I said, they got wonderful team of staff there and I enjoy going there for my medical check up.
Very good service. The driver was waiting on time, spoke good English and was very helpful with my luggage.
Great service at Wuchopperen. The team there were amazing!! The Dr was just incredibly warm and kind. We had booked a double appt but she gave us 1.5hrs of her time, as it was a complex case. I can't speak more highly of this service.
I went for a Booster shot on 10/01/2022. They took my Medicare Card and never return it. They could not find my Medical Card. They said, they will contact me as soon as possible. I am waiting for 3 days. No one contacts me. They should know how important the Medicare Care card is during the Covid 19 pandemic. So, sad.
Im lucky if my phone call is answered. Left several phone messages got no response. I had a phone appointment never got the call. Its frustrating disappointing and though it might be useful giving a feedback. Because I just love going to this medical centre the people and doctors i have come into contact with have always been so lovely.
We have been to Wuchopperen Health Services three times - for our first and second Astra Zeneca vaccinations and our booster shot. Each time we were overwhelmed by the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff members we encountered. I hate having injections, but the doctor on the first occasion and the nurses on the second and third visits were all so skilful at giving injections I barely felt them. I would return there anytime if I was able to.
Very friendly helpful staff, with everything from Dr's to dentist and everything in between very clean and modern lots of parking and not a long wait to get appointments, non indigenous people are welcome as well.
Very disappointed with Wuchopperen. Twice my time has been wasted. The first time was the Edmonton centre. Although I called prior to confirm the appointment I had made for my son, when we arrived, I was told they had no record of the appointment. The woman I spoke to at reception was extremely rude about the situation. Then again today. Over a month ago I booked an appointment for my son at the main centre & applied for a days annual leave to ensure I could get him there. I called on Friday & spoke with Mercedes, who might I add, has a lovely phone manner & excellent customer service. I also received a message on Friday confirming the appointment & requesting we attend 10 minutes prior to the appointment. We were there this morning on time as requested. The receptionist in the Allied Health Donga told me Kenny was not in today & that she was meant to call me. I understand situations arise & people cannot make it to work, but a phone call would have been appreciated, to let me know not to bother driving in, wasting my time & fuel. I won’t bother again.
I’m a 62 year old indigenous man from NSW who was told over the phone they would only give me and my wife my second AZ COVID-19 vaccination if they had any doses left over that were going to expire that day. They rang me back later and said they had some but I was nervous by then. They then said these were fresh and okay. I had to drive 2 hours away and wait another week to go to Tully to get our dose. True story.
