A nice, fresh Woolworths located in the centre of Surfers Paradise. Everything was fresh, well presented and well laid out. Nice wide aisles and a great selection of foods for locals and visitors alike. It is always nice to see plenty of good self-service and manned checkouts available. The staff were friendly and always gave us a smile, whether it was a quick question or at the checkout. Very wheelchair friendly.
There are like 7 cash self checkouts, which is quite sufficient and good for foreigners.

I have been to Wooly for many years, first time having staff did this.nnThere was a middle age darkish hair female staff at the check out counter tipped my cakes upside down when she chucked them in my shopping bag last night at 7pm!! Then she put a heavy 1.3kg raw meat on top them!!!nAnd I Saw she did that to the other customers too. nSeriously ?nNo staff training there??nThere I thought it's common sense for a 40+ yo food industry staff to put some care into customers food.
I made an online order today 30/06 and they forgot all my proteins. I had to come back twice. The store manager lady blonde was super friendly and offered me a Ferrero Chocolate as a gift. But the Asian ethnic employee stared at me twice as if I had stolen something. Terrible behavior.
