This is my go to Safeway as it is closest to my residence. I understand I have to pay the supermarket rorted prices on vegetables go to your local market if ya can, you save the big bucks m8. Staff here are usually apathetic and just going through the motions without much care in the world which I can respect. The supermarket retail career can be mundane grind. The patrons at this establishment may require some caution. I once witnessed a scraggly women go ballistic at an elderly lady for wearing a face mask. Relax women, she is just looking out for your health AMIR!? Anyways giving this facility a 5 star because the shiitake mushrooms wouldn’t scan at the self serve checkout and the attendant a fine chap with a majestic beard said not to worry about it and that I could have the shiitake mushrooms for free. That’s even better than the local market price! Their $2.50 was good value too
Back in yesterday, No deli staff in attendance. Young girl told me to wait while she arranged some chickens. No manager in attendance to speak to. Lots of empty shelf spaces. Very poor. Best thing would be to award the staff with a "certificate of participation /attendance" and close the store forever. Lost any business now from me. Now using Coles. Bigger, Well stocked, friendly staff. Total no Brainer.
I took notice of the name of my checkout operator hoping I would get this opportunity to comment, Luke. He was dreadful. He chatted to other staff as he put our groceries through, chewed gum and was gulping energy drink through out the process. We weren't going to be home for about 3 hours after our shop. I had to repack our goods in the boot. The cool bags weren't used for cold items. Laundry powder was packed with puff pastry sheets, 'wet' items being cold products were packed with dry biscuits and other huge mistakes as absolutely no care was taken. So disappointing.
Stop blocking the aisles with pallets. No possible way for disabled patrons to get around. This is ridiculous
One of your workers, a white blond lady, just profiled two brown guys walking out saying they were stealing. Meanwhile I just saw this white dude grab a thing of long life milk and walk out without paying.

Clean store. Plenty of staff. Nearly all products were in stock. Checkout staff were pleasant to chat to, a skill that I have noticed is improving.
Poor lighting, lack luster store in need of a face lift. By evening you’re constantly stepping over floor staff yet the shelves are poorly stocked, misplaced, the fruit and vegetables are over priced and not very fresh, bakery low in stock or day old, deli packing stock away too early?
I would just like to say I have never had someone so caring and nice and helpful and go out of their way to help me find what I needed from the store this lady works in the meat Department I can honestly say she is just the most friendliest person I have ever met this customer service skills I really appreciated her help Fiona what is her name tag please look after her and us as customers could only hope there was more like her around 100% Appreciated help
Purchased 4 items today and was charged $19,50 ..only when I got home did I realize that I was overcharged $5.50 the items were 2 bottles of sauce $4.70 each 2 cans of cooking spray at $2.50 total $+4.40 why was I overcharged $5.50
