From an interstate travelers perspective, it was so great to have somewhere with such good opening hours during the NYE/NYD period.nnPlenty of range, it gave an almost farmers market vibe with a lot of their fresh produce and items on offer, as well as somewhere you can pick up anything you need.nnStaff were helpful and efficient, plenty of parking comparative to what’s required.

The best IGA I have been to . Staff are friendly and always smile and helpful. The food selection is amazing. The price is good . A wide range of items . Very big store.

An amazing supermarket filled with so many Australian favourites like Samboy Chips! Can you believe Coles and Woolworths have deleted so many Australian foods from their shelves! That's disgusting and very UnAustralian!!!

I recently visited this IGA and bought a large quantity of drinks — six boxes of Coke cans. It was raining, and the trolley was stacked quite high. While paying, the Indian manager was right there and mentioned that next time we should call ahead if buying in bulk. I agreed and told him, “Yes, we’ll call next time.”nnThere was no issue at that point, and another younger male staff member was especially helpful — polite, friendly, and even helped move the drinks. His service was excellent.nnBut just as we were leaving, the same manager chased us to the entrance and started scolding us again about how we shouldn’t buy so many drinks — even though we had already discussed it politely inside. It was unnecessary and confrontational. While I was responding to him, I didn’t see the slope at the entrance because of the rain, and the drinks toppled off the trolley, damaging some cans.nnHe stood there, saw it happen — and just turned and walked away without saying a word. No offer to help, no concern. Just walked off. We picked everything up ourselves and loaded it into our car in the rain.nnLet me be clear: I’m not upset about money. I paid for everything and didn’t ask for a refund. What upset me was the Indian manager’s attitude — rude, aggressive, and lacking basic customer care. This is the service industry. Being “good with numbers” doesn’t make you a good manager. It’s about being genuine, thoughtful, and treating customers with respect.nnI will call ahead next time — but it won’t be this store.nnTo be honest, the older cashier lady with glasses who was standing nearby is far more qualified to be a manager than you are. At least they treat customers with dignity.nnThis was almost a 1-star review. The second star is for the kind, professional staff around you — not for you

I enjoyed my shopping experience and was elated to find meringues and pavlova for Christmas, as it was sold out in other competitive supermarkets and Ryans IGA Pleasant Park was my last option and fortunately it paid off for me
