This review is specifically for the direct-to-boot manager on duty at approx 9:50am 3rd Feb 25. No name tag with which to identify her, but an older woman with what I think was an Eastern European accent. There was absolutely no issue with any of the other direct-to-boot or counter staff with whom I had contact.nnAt scheduled pickup I realised there was an issue with my online order - quite random unrelated items which I didn't intend to purchase on the order and multiple other key items I specifically recall selecting online omitted from the list. Probably a dozen items in total. So asked for them to return/refund the order and I would just start again and manually shop for the correct items in-store. Delivery clerk referred my query to the manager. She emerged from the store and her initial gruff response was that it was obviously my mistake so I couldn't return them. I was literally standing at the store with items still in the delivery trolley. Sure, the admin was likely down to user error, but when I challenged the refusal, she repeatedly interrupted my efforts to explain the issue, was not at all interested in helping me and my goodness, was she abrupt and rude! The experience was frankly jarring. In hindsight, I wished I called her out on her awful attitude. Eventually she conceded and directed me to the service counter who refunded me with little fuss and no questions asked.
I bought a barbecue chicken on Monday 31 March 2025 at approximately 5pm. On getting home the chicken stuffing was just a lump of wet bread and the chicken is flavourless, no seasoning at all. Very disappointing as I regularly buy these chickens and have always been very satisfied. I will be reluctant to buy chicken at Woolworths again. .
They need better customer service support like damn, I ask 5 different stuff the same question on food, where are they located and other info.nBut all had no idea. Like damn they are seriously only good for stacking shelves like at least yeah then how to talk to a customer and tell them where to go like honestly have had this problem so many times at multiple Woolworth’s absolutely useless stuff when it came to helping Customers all they do is go on their phones talk to other employees and stack products and most don’t know how to speak English like honestly makes me give up on their stores.
I went in to purchase a cooked chicken this afternoon. The plain chickens looked like they'd been in a road accident so I payed extra for a Memphis seasoned one. I got home and pulled a soggy mess out of the bag that fell to pieces with a wing missing. I returned the chicken for a refund. I will never buy anything from this store again after shopping there for the last few years. The refund doesn't cover my time and fuel wasted returning an inferior product! Why is it so hard to cook a chicken and keep it in one piece?
Good luck shoppers.nnIt's impossible to get at some items because they are blocked day and night by the trolleys of staff stocking shelves who won't move out of your way for love or money.nnThe staff filling online orders are also very rude and aggressive & I have been run into several times.nnI appreciate they have jobs to do, but shoppers should be afforded more respect and courtesy.
