I came on here to review Illawarra Taxis and was stunned to read negative comments. This company has literally been taking care of my 98 year old Dad for a long time. They all know him by name, they all treat him with kindness and respect, they all help him up and down our precarious front stairs. The person who organises the taxis also knows my dad and keeps an eye out to ensure his safety. On one occasion, my father left his phone in the taxi. They drove to the hospital to give it back to him. I’ve rarely seen such kindness. Honestly? I can’t rate these guys high enough. And a personal thank you to Albert and Agent 77!
Do not even deserve 1 star, absolutely the worst service I have ever experienced. Booked a taxi the day before for a 05.45am pick up, that gentleman was extremely rude to begin with! , then the next morning at 05.46 am they are still trying to get a driver! My 92year old father had to get out of bed and take me to the train station so I could make my flight. I was so worried for my father but we had no other choice, they are the worst!!
Booked 2 cabs for a wedding, 1 to the venue and 1 to return. Neither showed up even after calling up again to follow up when they didn’t arrive on time. Had to get Uber’s instead. Absolutely hopeless company, will never use again
For sone reason even if you book in advance they are always late. I asked why and even if you book in advance they don’t book a driver - simply wait until it’s time and then send one off the rank if someone is free. In other words it’s pointless booking one as they use the same system. Crazy system and unreliable. I chat to the drivers and they do their best - and are embarrassed when they arrive. it’s the management who seem to be clueless.
Have always enjoyed prompt friendly and helpful service with suitcases. When we book a taxi they come on time.
Rang fir an older man who was at shopping centre n rapidly looking sicker n dizzy rang 7 times for a taxi. After 7 attempts calling n waiting almost hour no taxi arrived so my lift n I took him home. I think that's disgusting to make an elderly person wait like that. The phone operator ended up with an annoyed tone by last phone call. This service was much better when was run as Wollongong taxis hopefully they fix this and they wonder why so many people r choosing uber
Trying to get the kids to school in the rain no car when running about 5 mins behind time. Called these guys and TWICE they say five minutes away but......my kids are still at home waiting for the clown in the office to actually do his job. The taxi is still not here, kids are distraught and I'm ready to try any other taxi service than this joke
Absolutely disgusting, cannot believe they call themselves a taxi service. Rude and unreliable. DO NOT USE THIS MOB UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES
JUST USE UBER. DO NOT BOOK if you are travelling specifically to/from Panorama House. We booked a taxi 3 wks in advance for 11pm - it finally turned up a few minutes before midnight. Called to check multiple times; the drivers and call centre staff are not to blame - they are just as frustrated with the booking system. Just don’t expect to get a taxi on time, even if you book “in advance” on the website
Surprised as I haven't gotten a taxi in years we didn't have to wait long at all driver was very polite, taxi was immaculate very new and was shocked thatit didn't cost me more like I thought it would.
