General Practitioner Dr Merson Mathew and Practice Nurse Miss Tanya Keast.

ACT Medical is proud to have Dr Merson Mathew leading our team and working as a General Practitioner at our practice in Weston Creek.
Dr. Mathew has trained extensively in General Practice in the UK. Training involved hospital components of six months each in General Medicine, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and 9 months in Psychiatry. Further to this, he has one year's experience in Emergency Medicine apart from 6 and a half years in General Practice.
He holds the Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecology, the Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners, and is also a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
Dr. Mathew has a special interest in languages. He is fluent in English and in several Indian languages including Hindi, Urdu, Malayalam and Tamil. He can understand Punjabi, and can also converse in Bengali, a language in which he has even consulted in the past.
His interests include Diabetes, Gynaecology, Obstetrics and Psychiatry.
Dr Merson Mathew used to work at Gungahlin Medical Practice until June, 2013.


~Miss Tanya Keast BN, Weston Creek Medical Practice, Canberra

Tanya studied at Massey University in New Zealand and graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Nursing.
Tanya has gained work experience in New Zealand and Australia working in Emergency, Gastroenterology and Orthopaedics before joining us as a Practice Nurse in July 2013.
She has a keen interest in preventative health and women’s health.
