I had Dr Lau replace my elbow and I'm very happy with the result so if course I returned to see him for my left hip replacement. Minimal pain and 4 days after and I am having no issues. He has a very progressive outlook and an unbeatable bedside manner.adelightful

Two weeks post hammer and mullet toe reconstruction pins, screws and fusing. Dr Joe was my surgeon and oh my goodness, he is such a lovely man. Did have quiet mannerisms on initial consult, which put alittle doubt in my mind. However, rest assure when it came to surgery day, He was definitely in his element and talked me through everything and made me feel very reassured and comfortable with what was going to happen. Highly recommended him as a surgeon. Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery.
Dr Joe has done 2 lots of surgery for me, a weils osteotomy, and a 1st MTPJ fusion. He was exceptionally professional, very clear in his communication, and did an awesome job both times. I hope I never need his services again, but recommend him highly :
I busted my Achilles tendon and went to the Emergency section of the Calvary Hospital in Canberra. The doctors sent me home but asked me to do a scan the following day. The scan showed the severity of the injury. My GP suggested I go and see an orthopaedic surgeon ASAP and recommended Dr Yeong Joe Lau and one other surgeon whose practice did not take my case seriously. However, Dr Lau’s receptionist at Expert Orthopaedics understood my situation and contacted Dr Lau to arrange an appointment. Dr Lau went out-of-the-way to see me outside his normal consultation hours and explained to me what kind of surgery is required and how urgent it is. He was able to fit me into his busy surgery schedule within two days and did an excellent job. I am very pleased with how Dr Lau treated me as a patient and the care he gave me at the time of need with a minimum of cost. He is really one of the best doctors I came across who puts patient care before everything else.
Dr Joe was amazing… as much as I wished I never needed surgery Joe and his team were incredibly helpful, kind and patient taking the time to make sure I understood what to expect every step of the way
Can't recommend Joe highly enough. I've now had total hip replacements on both sides. Very quick recovery, minimal scarring, absolutely no issues. Very thorough and professional and a great sense of humour. Don't go past him!
If you are looking for a well organised, helpful and all round pleasant Orthapaedic Surgeon look no further, this is the place for you. My experiences with Dr Joe Lau and Practice Manager Amy have been the best and straight forward to date. Incredibly helpful and organised it was an absolute delight to work with these guys.
BRILLIANT! Dr. Joe Lau is outstanding! My husband had Full Bi-Lateral Knee Replacements with Dr. Lau only 4 weeks ago, and he has never been better! Already, such amazing results ! Highly Recommended!
Dr Joe has been amazing, I've had a few post op complications due to my own recent health issues. Dr Joe and his team have been accommodating and helpful.
