Stayed at Mooraback Cabin and loved it, the bushwalks from the cabin were lovely, kangaroos visited every day with their joey's, the solar power and hot water were terrific, comfy beds and a log fire! You do need to chop the wood to get kindling. The weather was very changeable, make sure you have a good waterproof jacket. Carabeen walk was fabulous, magnificent trees! Definitely recommend making the effort to get there!
Green Gully walk. Excellent huts. Walk is not challenging apart from 2 sections of 2km steep down and steep up.... The steep down is challenging for the under 10's and the less fit over 50's! The steep up is challenging for the less resilient! Day three is the pick. Great fun wading across the river 40 times and swimming in the gorge. The books in the huts are a good resource for a laugh. Maybe bring some pencils to add to the collection of Art. Do it with people you love... Or at least like.... There is plenty of time to discuss Politics, Art and People... As the walking is easily completed by 3pm each day.
A fantastic national park with a handful of beautiful bush walks suitable for all. Campgrounds are free and have bush toilets and picnic tables.
Great place to get lost and enjoy the drive.
The green gully hike is an amazing experience, absolutely worth doing at least once. Don't underestimate it like I did. It really earns its grade 5 rating. Haha
Nice remote location ahhh the serenity
Great bush, shame its managed by national parks and not state forest
Great camping, bird watching and bush walking
Awesome place well worth the drive
Very nice nature ambiance
