The staff here are very friendly but seem to really want to sell you stuff you don't need, one of the employees tried to talk me into buying a case for my guitar twice the price as the one I was going to get. The Hutt City Rockshop has much better staff so I recommend going there.
Great service and Great wide range of guitars, basses keyboards and music production tools. Also love the rooms to test guitars etc. Would recommend in comparison to other rockshops and definitely other music stores. If you want to test anything out. Just ask staff cause that's what they're there for. They aint gonna shame you for not be the best musician in the world
Staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. The service received was first rate. A time and date was given to collect Ukulele and the delivery men turned up bang on time. the set up my Ukulele where I asked them to and again they were very helpful. The Ukulele is exactly as I requested and was also cheaper than other music instruments store in Wellington. I would not hesitate in recommending Rockshop to anyone. One point of improvement I see is there is no refund policy which is not very welcoming to customers. They are certainly the store I will go to for all my future musical needs.
Bought my first PRS guitar after coming to NZ. I've owned guitars before but they were pre-owned. So this one would be my first very own guitar. Nothing beats a brand spanking new shiny instrument to bring back your lost motivation lol. Great/Best place for any music enthusiast. Great collection. I'm just hoping they bring in some Positive grid spark amp stock. Been waiting for it for quiet since time now. Cheers

My wife and I are disabled and she wanted to get a violin. These guys were nothing but fantastic, they have a chair lift that I’ve never seen in any other shop with stairs. They were absolutely wonderful with helping us from start to finish from finding one that suits, to letting her try it out and more. She’s very happy with her new purchase. Thank you team, we will be back again.
Click and collect was good. Seems customer service or enthusiasm is lacking though. Would still recommend for anything music related
Great selection of instruments. Bought a keyboard for my son. Really good quality. Super happy. Friendly service from everyone there.
I shop at other Rockshops often, including online and normally have quite a good experience. But, everytime I come to the Wellington store the staff are rude, oftentimes are standing around doing nothing not interested in assisting and also there is a clear lack of training going on for a lot of the newer staff which is sad on managements end. Although that long haired dude who is always in the bass section is always nice and helpful!
