Story

WAZEN opened early May 2014 in West Burleigh.
Our chef owner is very particular about the ingredients he serves his customers and as
such, uses free range chicken, advocates no MSG, serves gluten free dishes and also
provides vegetarian dishes. We serve food of the highest quality and our dishes have
been paired together with an original sauce created by the Chef.
Our lunch menu is casual and our dinner menu is in line with the modern IZAKAYA style;
Sake, Japanese draft beer and organic wine. Wazen, the place to dine!

A hidden gem in the middle of the forest. I know Gold Coast overall has really nice Japanese food and this place is definitely beyond my expectations. All ingredients used for our food were fresh which makes the taste pops. Price is reasonable and would recon to try the kids Sushi if you dine in with children.
Absolutely love the food here. Always fresh and enough sauce. Never have I ever been let down by the food. 5 stars for sure! The only down side is there opening hours especially in a Saturday and Sunday.
Chef’s Special is great! Recommended. Prawn Tempura is very tasty and fresh. Will come back again! 26/4/19 Chef’s Special is great as usual. Curry chicken is great. Assorted Nigiri is disappointed. Not fresh enough. Will come again and try! $$$$
Look at how clean our plates are! OMG soooo good, thank you guys some great food, we had Edamame, Honey soy chicken wings, the Bao and Tempura veggies all for $60 with drinks too

Some of the best japanese I have ever eaten and such lovely staff. The sliced beef entree was amazing!!
Outstanding Japanese food. Garlic prawns were something special. I don't often give 5 stars.
