We had a fantastic stay at this place and would highly recommend it, especially for families with kids.nnBe sure to book in advance as the park was fully booked with people, kids, caravans, and boats everywhere. Although it was a tight squeeze, the location was ideal, with the water just across the road, as well as pubs, shops, and local produce pop-up shops within walking distance.nI thoroughly enjoyed the delicious fish tacos and prawns from a nearby pop up and boat. The site was well-equipped, and the park's bathrooms were clean and modern.nnThe only issue we encountered was difficulty in contacting the property to book an extra night, but the friendly staff apologized and made up for it by offering an early check-in.
We've stayed at waters edge for a week. We've particularly booked this caravan park as it belongs to Big4 and our kids were looking forward to staying at a Big4.nUnfortunately it was not at all what we expected. Small and run down place, our campsite was right next to the wheelie bins and we could hear people on the toilet. Only 2 out of 6 ladies showers had water pressure. 2x six packs of beer were stolen from the community fridge in the kitchen and the small pool my kids were sooo looking forward to, was closed for the first 3 days due to pump issues. Advertised free wifi didn't work and when we questioned it at reception, we were told that the signal of the modem might not be strong enough to reach our campsite. We got the staff one no problem though!!! To top it off, the last 2 days we found our campsite in the middle of 4 families travelling together with a total of 10 toddlers. It was like holidaying at a daycare centre. I'm sure it's great fun travelling with friends and for the kids it must be mega fun. Unfortunately it is not for all surrounding camp sites. It would've been a lot nicer for all involved if they had a corner to themselves instead of setting up camp right in the middle of the entire camp ground.
Enjoyed the stay. Across the road from the water, easy walking distance to shops and woolworths.nGood for the cost, we stayed in budget cabins with our dogs.nIt had what we needed and the cabin and site had reasonable facilities.nPool was not heated. Has a bouncing pillow and games room.nIt can be difficult for find a place that allows dogs. Would come again.nJohn
New owners took over this park just over a year ago and have done a great job bringing it back to life. 3 years we've come and stayed the same dates and the same cabin and are very impressed. Location, location, location, close to everything you need in town. It is not large, it is crowded, you are close to your neighbors, go stay out of town if that is not for you.
Stayed on a powered site in our caravan. Unfortunately our experience was ordinary due to the partying, bad language, drinking and urinating behind the permanent site 104 and 105. Understand New Year's Eve people party to 12pm but to still be going at 2pm is inconsiderate. During the day on the 31st December they were urinating against the fence and boasting of getting alcohol without showing ID. Other nights they were also drinking and talking loudly with music pumping well past the 10pm time limit in the park rules. Management acted on our second last night.nnThe showers at night were not warm for half of the week and the amenities basic.nnThe sites are also very tight with narrow roads, which seems to be an issue at most parks in Lakes Entrance.nnThe park is very close to the town main shopping strip so location was great.
