had a wonderful stay at Voco Brisbane City and honestly, there’s very little not to love. The staff were outstanding. Always friendly, always greeting you, and genuinely doing their best to make your stay great. It sets the tone the moment you walk in.nThe rooms are lovely, and if you get a river view, you’re in for a treat. The outlook is beautiful and I kept thinking it would be an incredible spot for New Year’s fireworks. The location is also spot on. It’s a short walk to Queen Street and the surrounding areas, with plenty of bridge options for a scenic stroll over to South Bank. Roma Street, Central, King George Square and South Bank stations are all within walking distance too, which makes getting around easy.nBreakfast was great with plenty of good options, although I did find the buffet a little pricey for what I personally could eat. Room service meals were really good overall, even if the corn-crusted chicken burger wasn’t quite my favourite.nThat said, there’s nothing about this hotel I wouldn’t recommend. I actually had other accommodation booked for the second half of my stay but cancelled it to extend my stay here instead. This will definitely be my go to choice for future trips to Brisbane.
Really lovely stay at the Voco. Unfortunately the air-conditioning unit in our room was a little loud so that reduced the amount of sleep we could get. Bed was really comfortable and the curtains did a good job keeping the sun out. Worth noting if you drive there the car park is low with a 1.8m height so be wary. The check in staff were very polite and helpful, and responsive when needed. Thanks for a nice stay.
We stayed here over New Year’s Eve to watch the fireworks and enjoy a chilled, romantic night away. We could see most of the fireworks right from our room, which was a great bonus.nnThe location was super convenient, with shops and restaurants just a short walk away. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The pool was cool and relaxing after a hot day, and the buffet breakfast was great too.nnWe had a couple of small issues with some lights and the fridge, but Glen and his team fixed everything quickly, which we really appreciated. They even comped our room service and threw in a bottle of wine, which was such a nice touch—thanks guys! nnOverall, a really enjoyable stay and we’d happily come back
We had an amazing stay here! Rooms were immaculate and serviced daily and the amenities in the room were spot on. The pool and gym are easily accessible with table service being offered to the pool. Highlight of the stay was how hospitable Lucy was throughout our full stay. She really looked after us and gave us great recommendations. Can’t wait to return!
Currently enjoying my first solo stay at voco Brisbane City Centre. As an IHG member, I was pleased to receive a room upgrade, which offers a fantastic view overlooking the Brisbane River and Victoria Bridge—the room itself looks modern and fresh.nnA quick heads-up for drivers: there is no direct internal access from the carpark, so you do have to walk outside to reach the lobby. I’ve rated the location 4 stars simply because it’s about a 5-minute walk to the main dining hubs, but overall a very pleasant stay so far.
