Virgin Active Norwest has awesome vibes—super clean, great equipment, and friendly staff. The classes are fun and there’s something for everyone. Love the sauna and steam room too. Feels more like a wellness space than just a gym. Highly recommend!
Great facility. It tends to be busy in the early mornings and evenings. It is hard to find parking and customers tend to park in areas where it's not where to park and hard for others to get out of their parking space. Great amount of equipment and group classes. Customer service is so so, depending on the staff on duty. Unless you're skinny and fit, this gym is not for you.
It’s a solid gym with decent weights and variety of machines. The classes are included with your membership as long as you book. I regularly do grid and boxing and always enjoy Charlie’s classes, good music and always pushes you and just overall great atmosphere. Pool and sauna all under the one roof are great as well.nnWhere VA Norwest lacks are in amenities and cleanliness, along with the forever going battle of finding a parking spot at peak times. There’s lockers constantly out of order and given it’s a regular comment, doesn’t seem like much is being done to resolve this. The cleanliness of the men’s showers and toilets are pretty poor and probably the worst part about this gym. I know they can’t always be sparkling clean but I’ve been to other virgin actives and the standards of cleanliness in the change rooms is far superior to Norwest. If these areas were improved, I would give 4 stars.nnThe other let down is the parking situation where sometimes you can waste 20 - 30 mins looking for a space. People regularly park illegally which just makes it harder to navigate the car park too. I don’t think the car park is something VA can influence much as they are a tenant of the building, but maybe capping your membership might be an idea so new members don’t feel disappointed and also prevent making the situation of parking worse your your existing members. It’s a sucky thing but reality is there’s too many members for what the gym can handle.

Great facilities overall – well-equipped gym with a pool, spa, sauna, and plenty of group classes to choose from. However, parking is a major downside. Even on a Friday at 10am, it took me 25 minutes to find a spot. Both parking levels were full, and I had to wait in line just to get a space and missed the class!!! Some popular classes like Pilates are very difficult to book. The amount of members might has exceeded the cap…
